Chapter 1175: Brahma’s Dream (First Update)
She saw another dream, where there were hundreds of herself, and hundreds of Qin Mu, observing the divine abilities of the Nether Emperor, discussing them with each other, and verifying them against one another.
Emperor Yi Yue looked elsewhere, and she saw other dreams. Another version of her was laughing and chatting with the Nether Emperor, discussing how to perfect the Nether Capital Heavenly Gate, how to integrate the four Imperial Throne techniques into the gate, and how to unify those four techniques using the path of reincarnation.
That was a replay of scenes from her memory!
She also saw many versions of Qin Mu and herself recording their conversations, deducing the techniques and divine abilities they discussed, writing everything down in meticulous detail.
Even Emperor Yi Yue herself, recalling these events, could not be so clear!
Emperor Yi Yue turned to look in other directions. She saw dreams of all sizes, recording every bit of her time with the Nether Emperor. Some were incredibly beautiful memories, while others caused her pain.
There were scenes of her falling in love, scenes of the Nether Emperor attacking Fengdu, and scenes of her friends trying to persuade her to leave him.
In every dream, there was an Emperor Yi Yue and a Nether Emperor, with various details she had never noticed before surfacing.
Finally, Emperor Yi Yue’s gaze fell on the last dream. It was the scene of her wedding to the Nether Emperor.
Qin Mu also noticed that scene and frowned. “Sister, I used supreme divine consciousness to induce you to turn your memories into dreams. I didn’t expect to dig up this memory as well. Sister, let me extinguish this dream…”
“No need.”
Emperor Yi Yue shook her head, her eyes fixed on that segment of the dream. “When he killed me, he used his true skills. It will be very useful for deciphering his reincarnation techniques.”
Qin Mu was stunned for a moment but had to let her be.
Emperor Yi Yue stared blankly at that place. The first half of the memory was her most beautiful recollection, etched into her bones. The second half was her most painful memory, equally unforgettable.
“I also studied Buddhist teachings. I once took the Great Brahma Heavenly King Buddha as my teacher.”
Emperor Yi Yue seemed to wake from that painful memory, acting as if nothing had happened. She smiled at Qin Mu. “I told the old Buddha that I wanted to learn his Imperial Throne Sutra. The old Buddha told me, ‘You are too smart to learn it. This technique can only be learned by fools. The smarter you are, the less you can learn it.’”
Qin Mu’s face darkened, and he said awkwardly, “I didn’t learn it either. The old Buddha just stuffed it directly into my mind. I don’t understand the principles; I can only use it.”
Emperor Yi Yue laughed. “I begged the old Buddha to teach me, and he did, but I still couldn’t learn it. Later, I gave up that hope and left the Buddhist realm. It wasn’t until much later that I understood: it’s not that only fools can learn it, but the kind of intelligence required for the Infinite Kalpa Sutra is different from what we usually mean by intelligence. Still, I couldn’t comprehend it.”
They chatted and laughed, and Emperor Yi Yue felt various pieces of information flowing into her mind from the dreams, extremely fast. It was the result of research by countless versions of Qin Mu and Emperor Yi Yue across thousands of dreams.
Qin Mu’s Infinite Kalpa Sutra was no longer the pure Infinite Kalpa Sutra. It had become a new, unique divine ability, combined with supreme divine consciousness.
Emperor Yi Yue had seen the old Buddha use the Infinite Kalpa Sutra, entering the path through dreams. However, that was the old Buddha transforming into countless lives within his dreams, walking through various heavens and worlds in different forms, experiencing worldly affairs and training in the mortal realm.
When the Great Brahma’s dream ended, the different lives, experiences, and encounters returned to his mind, making his wisdom more penetrating and complete.
The old Buddha didn’t need deduction or calculation. He aimed to achieve great enlightenment in his heart.
He couldn’t do what Qin Mu did.
Qin Mu’s method of entering the path through dreams required immense computational power, deductive ability, and the capacity for trial and error. If the old Buddha tried to learn it, he would no longer be able to enter the path through dreams or experience the infinite kalpas.
That was the difference between him and Qin Mu.
This dream felt very long to Emperor Yi Yue. She didn’t know how many years had passed. Countless versions of her and Qin Mu combined their wisdom and finally unraveled the path of reincarnation hidden within the Nether Capital Heavenly Gate.
As the dream shattered, all the insights returned to their respective minds. The two closed their eyes, each taking a long time to reflect and organize.
When Emperor Yi Yue opened her eyes, she found herself still standing beneath the Nether Capital Heavenly Gate, but Qin Mu had somehow already left.
She saw Chi Xiu Divine standing not far away. She waved him over, and Chi Xiu Divine approached, saying, “Heavenly King, the Mu Heavenly Lord asked me to tell you that he has gone ahead. He left about half a day ago.”
Emperor Yi Yue asked, “Did he leave any message?”
Chi Xiu Divine said, “He said, ‘Sister, staying in Fengdu will never allow you to take revenge. If you want revenge, you must step outside.’”
Emperor Yi Yue pondered for a moment, then broke into a smile. “I understand. I will go see the Emperor Shi Heavenly King. The Ark of the Other Shore in the Origin Realm can only be repaired by him.”
Qin Mu left Fengdu and returned to the Tianyin Realm.
Tianyin Empress had been waiting for him for a long time. Seeing him come out, she was overjoyed. She waved and laughed, “Come here quickly! I’ll show you my spells and divine abilities. You’ll be delighted!”
Qin Mu walked over and saw that Tianyin Empress had, at some point, used Tianyin gold mixed with mud to mold some clay dolls, both male and female, standing on the ground.
Tianyin Empress looked mysterious and smiled. “I originally planned to use some flowers and plants to awaken them. But this place is the resting place of soul black sand, making it hard to grow anything, so I had to settle for molding clay figures.”
She cast her divine ability, her eyes sparkling with excitement. As the ability descended, the clay dolls opened their mouths and yawned, gaining three souls and seven spirits, becoming living beings!
Qin Mu was astonished. This was the first time he had seen such a skill!
He had created his own soul, but he had followed the method of innate ancient gods, using the creation of heaven and earth within the Spiritual Embryo Divine Treasury to derive ancient gods and give birth to his own soul.
This was different from Tianyin Empress’s method. She directly bestowed souls upon lifeless objects, turning them into living beings!
“Don’t move!”
When Tianyin Empress saw the clay figures trying to move, she quickly waved her hand. “Don’t move! Your bodies are made of clay. If you move, you’ll fall apart and die!”
Qin Mu raised his right hand and extended a finger, gently drawing a line. He cast the path of creation, and the creation divine ability burst forth, enveloping the clay figures. He laughed, “Empress, besides you, the Tianyin Realm has no native life forms. Today, let’s join forces and perfect them.”
The clay figures immediately began to grow flesh and blood, developing internal organs, bones, muscles, and skin. Soon, they became living, breathing beings!
The clay figures were both surprised and delighted. They jumped and frolicked together. After a while, they bowed to Tianyin Empress and Qin Mu, shouting, “Heavenly Father! Heavenly Mother!”
Tianyin Empress was also surprised and delighted. She laughed, “Our divine abilities can actually create real life! How interesting! I’ll make some more clay figures!”
She was about to make more clay figures when Qin Mu quickly took his leave, saying, “This place is a pure land, but the outside world is not. I cannot stay here long. Empress, you are no longer alone. You have your own people now. You must be responsible for them.”
Tianyin Empress looked at him and smiled. “You suddenly became so serious. It’s quite frightening.”
Qin Mu laughed heartily and waved his hand. “If an external enemy attacks and kills your people, how will you deal with it?”
Tianyin Empress watched him walk away, then looked down at the people running around on the ground. These were the first native life forms born in the Tianyin Realm.
“I will protect them. I will!” she thought to herself.
