Chapter 71: Riot

On the first floor of Demon Castle.

Space energy surged, ripples spreading in all directions as Su Xiao materialized out of thin air.

Boom!

A loud crash rang in his ears. Su Xiao instinctively drew the longsword at his waist and scanned his surroundings.

Boom, boom, boom...

One after another, deafening impacts echoed from all sides of the first floor. The source of these sounds was the wooden doors lining both sides of the corridor. At this moment, these doors were being battered with varying degrees of force. The ones slamming against them were undoubtedly the tenants behind those doors—Alice's prisoners.

Su Xiao's gaze shifted to Sha's room. The wooden door in front of that chamber was being struck the hardest. Large patches of glowing runes clung to the door's surface, flickering unsteadily as Sha pounded from the other side.

The first floor of Demon Castle was in full riot. For some unknown reason, the tenants had gone berserk, frantically ramming the wooden doors that imprisoned them.

In the past, these tenants could open their doors but were unable to leave their rooms. Now, however, all the doors were sealed tight, and the tenants were battering them relentlessly, as if possessed.

"Alice, look at you now! Hahahaha!"

A defiant laugh mixed in with the pounding.

"May she die outside the castle."

"Hurry, before she gets back—we might have a chance to escape."

"We have that wolf butler to thank. That puppet actually recovered those erased memories. I'd love to see the look on his face, and the moment he stabbed Alice in the back."

The tenants on the first floor roared, venting their pent-up hatred and fury.

From their shouts, Su Xiao gleaned several pieces of information.
