Chapter 38: I Can Still Rob Them

Waste Mosquito's time difference has been successfully corrected. I woke up at 7 AM today, originally planning to post six chapters since I didn't update yesterday. But after breakfast, my stomach started hurting. At first, I didn't think much of it and just took some stomach medicine, but the pain didn't subside—it only got worse. By around 10 AM, the pain was so severe I couldn't sit still.

I went to the hospital at 11 AM. After some tests, it turned out to be kidney stones (in my opinion, it must be a misdiagnosis—it should be the early stage of forming a Golden Core). The stone was stuck in the ureter (the location of the Golden Core formation is a bit awkward). The doctor said it was in the second section of the ureter or something (medical professionals should understand). Roughly, it means there are dangerous blood vessels nearby, so they can't do lithotripsy at that spot. I have to take medicine to push it down first, and once it reaches a safe position, they can break it up.

The unbearable pain lasted until 3 PM. I got some medicine, went home, and once the stone passes down, I'll go back to the hospital for lithotripsy.

In the next few days, my updates might not be able to maintain three chapters a day—it might be two, or even one.

Today, the pain is really hard to bear, but since I didn't update a single chapter yesterday, I have to grit my teeth and get up to write two chapters.

Kidney stones are classified as level 11 pain, while limb disabilities—like losing a finger from an explosion during battle—are level 10 pain. You can imagine how I've been getting through today. It's just wonderful.

Once I recover, I'll add extra chapters. Definitely. If the updates are fewer these days, I apologize in advance to everyone. When the body breaks down, it's truly beyond my control.
