Chapter 3: Execute on the Spot.
The moment the words fell, a figure shot out from the side, charging straight at Su Xiao. It was a contractor from the Apocalypse Paradise, a burly man wielding a heavy shield, clearly a main tank.
Su Xiao didn't even glance at him. He sidestepped, his figure flickering as he bypassed the shield-wielding contractor, heading directly for the spellcaster in the back.
"Stop him!"
The shield contractor roared, swinging his heavy shield horizontally. The shield surface shimmered with a faint golden light, clearly enhanced by a skill.
Su Xiao's expression remained calm. He drew the Dragon-Slashing Flash at his waist, the blade gleaming with cold light.
Clang!
Sparks flew as the Dragon-Slashing Flash struck the shield. The shield contractor felt a terrifying force surge through him, his entire body staggering backward, leaving a deep furrow in the ground.
"How is this possible?!"
The shield contractor's eyes were filled with disbelief. He was a pure main tank, with all his attributes stacked on Strength and Stamina. Yet, in a head-on clash, he was actually pushed back by a melee fighter?
Before he could regain his balance, Su Xiao had already closed in on the spellcaster.
The spellcaster was a woman, her face pale. She hurriedly raised her staff, attempting to cast a defensive spell.
Too slow.
The Dragon-Slashing Flash traced an arc through the air, cleanly severing the woman's neck. Blood sprayed as her head flew high, her eyes still wide with shock.
"Damn it!"
The remaining two contractors were enraged. One was a long-range shooter, the other a summoner. The summoner had already summoned two giant wolves, which bared their fangs and charged at Su Xiao.
Su Xiao sheathed his sword, then drew it again.
Blade Path: Azure Demon.
A blue blade aura shot out, passing through the bodies of the two giant wolves. The wolves let out pitiful howls, their bodies splitting apart, blood and internal organs spilling all over the ground.
The summoner's face turned ashen. He had just summoned those two wolves, and they were already killed?
The long-range shooter took the opportunity to raise his gun, aiming at Su Xiao and pulling the trigger.
Bang!
The bullet tore through the air, heading straight for Su Xiao's head.
Su Xiao didn't dodge. He raised his left hand, and a layer of crystal armor formed on his palm.
Ding!
The bullet hit the crystal armor, sending sparks flying but failing to penetrate.
"What kind of defense is that?!"
The long-range shooter was horrified. He was using an armor-piercing bullet, yet it couldn't even break through the opponent's palm defense?
Su Xiao looked down at his palm. A faint crack had appeared in the crystal armor. This guy's attack power was decent.
He looked up at the long-range shooter, his gaze calm.
The long-range shooter felt a chill run down his spine, instinctively wanting to retreat.
Too late.
Su Xiao's figure flickered, instantly appearing before the long-range shooter. The Dragon-Slashing Flash swept out, cleanly slicing the shooter in two at the waist.
"Ah—!"
The long-range shooter let out a miserable scream, his upper body falling to the ground, his intestines and organs spilling out.
The summoner was terrified, turning to flee.
Su Xiao didn't give chase. He just flicked his wrist, and a streak of sword light shot out, piercing through the summoner's back and emerging from his chest.
The summoner stumbled a few steps, then fell heavily to the ground, dead.
From start to finish, it took less than ten seconds. Four contractors from the Apocalypse Paradise were all killed.
The surrounding contractors were all stunned, looking at Su Xiao with fear in their eyes.
This guy... is too strong.
Su Xiao wiped the blood off his blade, sheathed the Dragon-Slashing Flash, and turned to leave.
Just then, a system notification sounded in his ear.
[You have killed four contractors from the Apocalypse Paradise. Your reputation with the Void Tree has increased by 120 points.]
[Current Void Tree Reputation: 120 points (Neutral).]
Su Xiao paused slightly. Killing contractors from other paradises actually increased reputation?
He thought for a moment, then understood. The Void Tree was the neutral party overseeing all paradises. Killing contractors who violated the rules would naturally earn the Void Tree's favor.
"Not bad."
Su Xiao nodded with satisfaction, then walked toward the Trade Market.
He needed to buy some materials to prepare for the next world.
Behind him, the contractors were still discussing in hushed tones.
"Did you see that? He killed four people from the Apocalypse Paradise all by himself!"
"Who is he? Which paradise does he belong to?"
"I don't know, but he's definitely not someone to mess with."
"Let's stay away from him. Guys like that are usually lone wolves, and they're the most dangerous."
...
Su Xiao ignored the discussions behind him. He quickly arrived at the Trade Market, found a stall selling alchemy materials, and began selecting what he needed.
"Boss, how much for this bottle of Primordial Life Force?"
"500 Paradise Coins."
"Too expensive. 400."
"Deal."
Su Xiao paid, took the Primordial Life Force, and turned to leave.
He had just taken a few steps when a voice called out from behind.
"Hey, friend, wait a moment."
Su Xiao turned around and saw a middle-aged man with a kind face walking toward him.
"I'm a contractor from the Holy Light Paradise. My name is... well, you can just call me Old Wang."
The middle-aged man smiled, looking harmless.
"What is it?"
Su Xiao asked calmly.
"I just saw you take down four people from the Apocalypse Paradise. Impressive skills. I was wondering if you'd be interested in forming a temporary team? We're planning to explore a newly discovered ruin, and we could use a strong fighter like you."
Old Wang said sincerely.
Su Xiao thought for a moment, then shook his head.
"No need."
He didn't like teaming up with strangers. It was safer to act alone.
"That's a shame. Well, if you change your mind, feel free to look me up."
Old Wang didn't insist, handing Su Xiao a business card before turning and leaving.
Su Xiao glanced at the business card, then put it away. Maybe he'd need it someday.
After leaving the Trade Market, Su Xiao returned to his Exclusive Room.
He sat cross-legged, closed his eyes, and began to rest.
The next world would be a War World, and he needed to be fully prepared.
...
Three days later.
Su Xiao opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing in them.
It was time to set off.
He stood up, walked to the teleportation array in the center of the room, and placed his hand on it.
[Do you want to enter the next world?]
[Yes/No.]
Su Xiao chose [Yes].
The next moment, his vision went black, and he felt a strong sense of weightlessness.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a vast wilderness.
The sky was blood-red, the ground cracked, and the air was thick with the stench of blood and sulfur.
This was a battlefield.
[You have entered the War World: Eternal Light World.]
[Current World Information: This is a world on the brink of destruction. The Abyss has invaded, and all living beings are facing extinction. You must survive and complete the assigned missions.]
[Main Mission: Kill 100 Abyss Spawn, reward: 1 True Attribute Point.]
[Side Mission: Destroy three Abyss Passages, reward: 1 Golden Skill Point.]
[Note: This world is extremely dangerous. Please be cautious.]
Su Xiao read the mission prompts, a slight smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
Kill 100 Abyss Spawn? That was easy.
He looked into the distance, where a massive Abyss Passage towered, exuding an ominous aura.
"Let's start."
Su Xiao drew the Dragon-Slashing Flash and strode toward the Abyss Passage.
