# Chapter 3: Heading to the Corrupted Forest (Special Area · Lv.30), Slaughter Through This Place
The Corrupted Forest was a special area within the Eternal Light World, located in the southern part of the Western Continent. This forest was covered in a dark purple mist, and the ground was littered with rotting leaves and bones. The trees here had all withered, their twisted branches reaching out like claws, creating an eerie and oppressive atmosphere.
Su Xiao stood at the edge of the forest, his gaze calm as he surveyed the area ahead. Behind him, Bubu Wang, Amu, and Baha were all ready.
"Boss, this place looks pretty dangerous," Baha said, flapping its wings as it landed on a withered tree branch.
"Mm, the monsters here are all around Level 30, and there might be some special boss-level creatures," Su Xiao replied, drawing the Dragon-Slaying Flash from his waist.
The blade gleamed with a cold light, and the Azure Steel Shadow energy within him began to stir. This was a special area, meaning the monsters here were stronger than those in ordinary areas, but the rewards were also richer.
"Let's go," Su Xiao said, taking the lead into the forest.
As soon as he stepped into the forest, a foul stench hit him. The ground was covered in a thick layer of rotting leaves, and stepping on them made a squelching sound. The surrounding trees were all withered, their bark cracked, and some even oozed a black, sticky liquid.
"Woof!" Bubu Wang suddenly let out a warning bark.
Su Xiao's eyes narrowed. He sensed a presence approaching quickly from the forest ahead. Soon, a group of twisted creatures emerged from the mist.
These creatures looked like wolves, but their bodies were covered in rotting flesh, their eyes glowing with a sickly green light. Their mouths were filled with jagged teeth, and black saliva dripped from their jaws, sizzling as it hit the ground.
"Corrupted Wolves, Level 28," Su Xiao identified them with a glance.
There were about twenty of them, surrounding Su Xiao and his group. Their green eyes were filled with hunger and madness.
"Amu, you take the front. Baha, you provide air support. Bubu Wang, you find a chance to disrupt them," Su Xiao quickly gave the orders.
"Got it!" Amu roared, his body swelling as he charged forward, slamming into the nearest Corrupted Wolf.
"Bang!" The wolf was sent flying, crashing into a withered tree and snapping it in two.
Su Xiao moved at the same time. His figure flickered as he used Dragon Shadow Flash, instantly appearing beside a Corrupted Wolf. The Dragon-Slashing Flash in his hand traced an arc of light.
"Blade Path: Azure Demon!"
A blue blade aura flashed, and the Corrupted Wolf was cleaved in two from head to tail. Black blood splattered everywhere, and the wolf let out a miserable howl before collapsing to the ground.
Baha swooped down from above, its sharp claws tearing through the neck of another Corrupted Wolf. Blood sprayed, and the wolf fell.
Bubu Wang circled around, occasionally letting out a bark to distract the wolves, creating opportunities for Su Xiao.
In less than five minutes, all twenty Corrupted Wolves were dealt with. Black blood stained the ground, and the air was thick with the stench of blood.
"These monsters aren't too strong, but they come in large numbers," Baha commented, shaking the blood off its claws.
"This is just the beginning. The deeper we go, the stronger the monsters will be," Su Xiao said, sheathing his blade.
He walked over to the corpses and began collecting the loot. These Corrupted Wolves dropped Soul Crystals and some materials, which could be exchanged for Paradise Coins in the Trade Market.
"Boss, there's something ahead," Bubu Wang suddenly said, pointing deeper into the forest with his paw.
Su Xiao looked up and saw a massive silhouette faintly visible in the mist ahead. It was at least five meters tall, with a pair of blood-red eyes glaring at them.
"Looks like we've found the boss of this area," Su Xiao said, a slight smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
He wasn't afraid; instead, he was looking forward to it. The stronger the enemy, the better the rewards. This was the rule of Reincarnation Paradise.
"Let's go, kill it," Su Xiao said, taking the lead toward the massive silhouette.
Behind him, Bubu Wang, Amu, and Baha followed closely, their battle intent surging.
