Chapter 5: Drinking a Bottle of "Primordial Life Force Potion"
After leaving the Attribute Enhancement Hall, Su Xiao went straight to the Skill Upgrade Hall. The Skill Upgrade Hall was located in the central area of Reincarnation Paradise, a massive building that looked like a giant metal cocoon. Entering the hall, a faint mechanical hum filled the air, and rows of Skill Upgrade Pods stood neatly arranged, each emitting a faint blue light.
Su Xiao walked to an empty Skill Upgrade Pod, placed his hand on the control panel, and a translucent screen appeared before him.
[Skill Upgrade Pod activated. Current available skill points: 0. Golden Skill Points: 1. True Attribute Points: 0.]
He had already used all his ordinary skill points, but the Golden Skill Point was still there. This was a special resource he had obtained from a previous mission, capable of upgrading any skill to its peak state. However, Su Xiao had no intention of using it now. Golden Skill Points were too rare; they had to be used at the most critical moment.
"Close the interface."
The screen disappeared, and Su Xiao turned and left the Skill Upgrade Hall. Next, he headed to the Equipment Enhancement Hall. This place was even more bustling than the Attribute Enhancement Hall, with contractors coming and going. Some held weapons radiating various colored lights, while others stared nervously at the enhancement furnace, praying for a successful upgrade.
Su Xiao didn't plan to enhance his equipment for now. He just wanted to check the market prices. After a quick tour, he confirmed that the prices of various enhancement materials had risen recently, indicating that many contractors were preparing for the upcoming war world.
After leaving the Equipment Enhancement Hall, Su Xiao returned to his Exclusive Room. The room was simple and clean, with only a bed, a table, and a few chairs. He sat down at the table, took out a bottle of potion from his storage space, and placed it on the table.
This was a "Primordial Life Force Potion," an item he had obtained from a previous mission. Its effect was to permanently increase maximum health points by 500 points, which was extremely rare. Su Xiao had been holding onto it, waiting for the right moment to use it.
He opened the bottle, and a rich life force scent wafted out. Without hesitation, Su Xiao raised his head and drank the potion in one gulp.
A warm current flowed from his abdomen, spreading throughout his body. Every cell seemed to be cheering, greedily absorbing this life force. This feeling lasted for about ten seconds before gradually fading away.
[You have consumed a "Primordial Life Force Potion," permanently increasing maximum health points by 500 points. Current maximum health points: 3200 points.]
Su Xiao nodded in satisfaction. This potion had significantly boosted his survivability. In the upcoming war world, every bit of health could be the difference between life and death.
He put away the empty bottle and began to organize his equipment and items. The war world was about to open, and he had to be fully prepared.
"Bubu Wang, Baha, Amu, Beini, come out."
With a flash of light, four figures appeared in the room. Bubu Wang was a husky with a silly expression, wagging its tail. Baha was a black crow with sharp eyes, perched on the back of a chair. Amu was a tall, muscular man with a bull head, holding a giant axe. Beini was a cute little girl with cat ears, holding a book.
"Master, are we going to the war world?" Bubu Wang asked, tilting its head.
"Mm, get ready. We'll set off soon," Su Xiao said calmly.
"Finally, we can fight!" Baha flapped its wings, looking excited.
"Master, I'll protect you!" Amu said in a deep voice.
"Beini will also work hard!" the little girl clenched her little fists.
Su Xiao nodded, a trace of warmth flashing in his eyes. These companions had followed him through countless life-and-death battles and were his most trusted partners.
"Rest for now. We'll head to the assembly point in two hours."
"Yes!"
The four of them each found a spot to rest and adjust their condition. Su Xiao sat cross-legged on the bed, closing his eyes to meditate. He was mentally preparing for the upcoming battle.
Two hours later, Su Xiao opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing in them.
"Time to go."
He stood up, and the four companions immediately followed, their eyes filled with fighting spirit.
Su Xiao led them out of the Exclusive Room and headed straight for the assembly point of the war world. Along the way, many contractors were rushing in the same direction, their faces tense and expectant.
Arriving at the assembly point, Su Xiao saw a massive teleportation array. The array shimmered with a faint blue light, exuding a powerful spatial fluctuation. Around the teleportation array, many contractors had already gathered, waiting for the teleportation to begin.
Su Xiao found a spot and stood still, quietly waiting. Bubu Wang and the others stood behind him, their gazes sweeping around, on high alert.
Time passed minute by minute. Suddenly, a loud voice rang out:
"All contractors, attention! The war world teleportation will begin in ten seconds. Please be ready!"
The crowd instantly fell silent, all eyes fixed on the teleportation array.
"Ten, nine, eight... three, two, one, teleportation begins!"
A dazzling blue light burst forth, enveloping everyone present. Su Xiao felt his vision blur, and his body was pulled by a powerful force. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar world.
The sky was a gloomy gray, the ground cracked and barren, and the air was filled with the stench of blood and sulfur. In the distance, towering black mountains could be seen, with faint roars of beasts echoing from them.
"This is the war world..." Su Xiao muttered to himself, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.
The battle was about to begin.
