# Chapter 1: Go to the Central Tower, See What's Up There
Su Xiao stood at the edge of the central area, looking up at the towering structure that pierced the sky. The Central Tower—a massive spire that seemed to touch the heavens themselves, its surface shimmering with an otherworldly light.
Around him, the bustling activity of the Trade Market continued unabated. Contractors from various paradises moved about, their conversations a low hum of transactions and negotiations. But Su Xiao's attention remained fixed on that distant tower.
"Boss, you're really going there?" Baha asked, landing on Su Xiao's shoulder. The demon hawk's eyes gleamed with curiosity.
"Yeah," Su Xiao replied simply.
"But that place is heavily guarded. The Arcane Eternal Star has stationed their elites there, and I've heard rumors that even some of the Supreme-rank powerhouses are keeping watch."
"I know."
Baha let out a low chuckle. "Well, when have you ever backed down from something dangerous?"
Su Xiao didn't respond. Instead, he began walking toward the Central Tower, his hand resting on the hilt of Dragon-Slaying Flash. The blade hummed softly, as if sensing its master's intent.
As he moved through the crowds, contractors instinctively stepped aside. There was something about his presence—a quiet, lethal aura that made even the most seasoned veterans wary.
"Hey, isn't that Kukulin Bai Ye?" someone whispered.
"The Law Destroyer? What's he doing here?"
"Rumor has it he's heading for the Central Tower."
"Tsk, that guy's always chasing trouble."
Su Xiao ignored the murmurs. His mind was focused on one thing—the tower and what lay within. According to the information he'd gathered, the Central Tower housed something important. Something that could change the balance of power in the Reincarnation Paradise.
He reached the base of the tower, where two guards stood watch. Both were Eighth Rank contractors, their equipment gleaming with enchantments.
"Halt," one of them said, raising a hand. "This area is restricted. No unauthorized personnel allowed."
Su Xiao didn't slow down.
"I said halt!" The guard's voice hardened, and he reached for his weapon.
In the next instant, a flash of blue light erupted. The guard's hand froze mid-motion as Su Xiao's blade appeared at his throat, the edge pressing against his skin.
"I'm not here to cause trouble," Su Xiao said calmly. "I just want to see what's up there."
The second guard moved to attack, but a shadow flickered behind him. Baha's talons clamped down on his shoulder, pinning him in place.
"Easy there, friend," Baha said, his voice dripping with mock cheerfulness. "Let's not do anything we'll regret."
The first guard swallowed hard, sweat beading on his forehead. "You... you're insane. Do you know who's guarding the upper floors?"
"Doesn't matter."
Su Xiao withdrew his blade and stepped past the guards, entering the tower's interior. The lobby was vast, with marble floors and crystalline chandeliers that cast prismatic light across the walls. A spiral staircase wound upward, disappearing into the darkness above.
He began climbing.
The first few floors were empty—abandoned offices and storage rooms. But as he ascended, the atmosphere grew heavier. The air thickened with mana, and the walls began to pulse with a faint, rhythmic glow.
"Someone's here," Baha said, his voice low.
Su Xiao nodded. He could sense it too—a presence, powerful and ancient, watching from the shadows.
A figure stepped out from the darkness ahead. It was a woman, her silver hair cascading down her back, her eyes glowing with arcane energy. She wore robes embroidered with celestial patterns, and in her hand, she held a staff topped with a crystal that seemed to contain a miniature galaxy.
"Mage Sage Seraphilia," Su Xiao said, recognizing her immediately.
"Kukulin Bai Ye," she replied, her voice melodic yet cold. "I was wondering when you'd come."
"You know why I'm here."
Seraphilia smiled, but there was no warmth in it. "The Central Tower holds secrets that even the Reincarnation Paradise doesn't fully understand. You're not the first to seek them, and you won't be the last."
"I'm not here for secrets. I'm here for the Origin Stone."
Her smile faded. "The Origin Stone: World? That's not something you can simply take."
"I know. That's why I'm prepared to fight for it."
Seraphilia sighed, raising her staff. "Then let's see if you're worthy."
The air exploded with energy as she unleashed a torrent of spells. Fire, ice, lightning—elemental forces converged into a devastating barrage. But Su Xiao moved like a phantom, weaving through the attacks with inhuman precision.
He closed the distance in an instant, his blade slicing through the air. Seraphilia countered with a barrier of crystalline light, but the impact sent cracks spiderwebbing across its surface.
"You're strong," she admitted, her eyes narrowing. "But strength alone won't be enough."
She raised her hand, and the space around them warped. Su Xiao felt a pull, as if the very fabric of reality was trying to tear him apart.
"Space-Time Power," he muttered.
"Indeed. I've spent centuries mastering it. Let's see how you handle this."
The world twisted, and Su Xiao found himself standing in a void—a place without up or down, without light or sound. It was a prison of nothingness.
But he didn't panic. Instead, he closed his eyes and focused on his inner energy. The Cyan Steel Shadow Energy surged through him, and he activated his ability.
"Blade Path: Azure Demon."
A blade of pure azure light erupted from his hand, cutting through the void like a knife through paper. The space shattered, and he was back in the tower, standing face-to-face with Seraphilia.
Her eyes widened in shock. "You... you broke my Space-Time Prison?"
"It wasn't that hard."
He lunged forward, his blade aimed at her heart. She barely managed to deflect it with her staff, but the force of the blow sent her staggering backward.
"You're not just strong," she said, breathing heavily. "You're a monster."
"I've been called worse."
Their battle continued, each exchange more intense than the last. Seraphilia's spells grew more desperate, more destructive, but Su Xiao's relentless assault left her no room to recover.
Finally, with a decisive strike, he disarmed her. Her staff clattered to the ground, and she fell to her knees, defeated.
"You win," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "The Origin Stone is on the top floor. But be warned—there are others waiting for you. Ones far more dangerous than me."
Su Xiao nodded, stepping past her. As he continued his ascent, he could feel the tower's energy growing stronger, more chaotic. The walls began to tremble, and strange whispers echoed in his mind.
"Boss, I don't like this," Baha said, his feathers ruffled. "Something's wrong."
"I know."
They reached the top floor, where a massive door stood before them. It was made of black stone, etched with runes that glowed with a malevolent light.
Su Xiao pushed it open.
Inside, the room was bathed in an eerie blue glow. At its center, floating above a pedestal, was the Origin Stone: World—a crystalline sphere that pulsed with the power of an entire universe.
But standing before it was a figure cloaked in shadow. When it spoke, its voice was like grinding stone.
"You've come far, Law Destroyer. But this is where your journey ends."
Su Xiao drew his blade, his eyes fixed on the figure.
"We'll see about that."
