Chapter 2: Supply Supplies

After the battle with the Archbishop of the Abyss, Kukulin Bai Ye returned to his exclusive room in Reincarnation Paradise. The room was spacious, with a simple and practical layout, a black metal bed against the wall, and a workbench covered with various alchemical tools.

He sat cross-legged on the bed, closed his eyes, and began to check the battle rewards. The information panel of Reincarnation Paradise appeared before him, displaying a series of data.

[You have killed the Archbishop of the Abyss (Eighth Rank).]
[You have received Paradise Coins: 35,000.]
[You have received Soul Crystals (Complete) x3.]
[You have received a Holy Spirit Chest (★★★★★).]

Bai Ye opened his eyes, a hint of satisfaction flashing in them. The Archbishop of the Abyss was a formidable enemy, but the rewards were equally generous. He stood up, walked to the workbench, and placed the Holy Spirit Chest on it.

The chest was dark purple, with complex runes engraved on its surface, exuding a faint aura of power. Bai Ye placed his hand on the chest, and a prompt appeared.

[Do you want to open the Holy Spirit Chest (★★★★★)?]

He chose to confirm. The chest slowly opened, and a burst of light shot out, gradually fading to reveal the items inside.

[You have opened the Holy Spirit Chest (★★★★★).]
[You have received Black Maple Tree Yield x1.]
[You have received Soul Severing Shadow Stone x1.]
[You have received Contract Parchment x1.]

Bai Ye picked up the Black Maple Tree Yield. This was a black branch about the length of an arm, with a faint, special energy fluctuation. The Black Maple Tree was a rare treasure in the Void Tree, and its yield could be used to forge powerful equipment or refine special potions.

He put the Black Maple Tree Yield aside and picked up the Soul Severing Shadow Stone. This was a black stone the size of a fist, with a faint, shadowy energy flowing inside it. The Soul Severing Shadow Stone was a key material for upgrading the Blade Demon Spirit, and it was exactly what he needed.

Finally, he looked at the Contract Parchment. This was a blank parchment, but it contained powerful contract power. It could be used to sign contracts with powerful beings, gaining their power or services.

Bai Ye put away the items, then opened his personal attribute panel.

[Contractor: Kukulin Bai Ye]
[Rank: Eighth Rank]
[True Strength: 385 points]
[True Agility: 372 points]
[True Stamina: 360 points]
[True Intelligence: 310 points]
[True Attribute Points: 0]
[Golden Skill Points: 2]
[Paradise Coins: 128,500]

He pondered for a moment. The battle with the Archbishop of the Abyss had made him realize that his current strength was still insufficient. Although he had killed the Archbishop, he had also paid a heavy price. If he encountered a stronger enemy, the outcome would be unpredictable.

"Need to enhance my strength," Bai Ye muttered to himself.

He walked out of the exclusive room and headed to the Attribute Enhancement Hall. The hall was bustling with contractors coming and going, each busy enhancing their attributes.

Bai Ye found an empty Attribute Enhancement Pod, stepped inside, and closed the hatch. The pod hummed to life, and a prompt appeared.

[Welcome to the Attribute Enhancement Pod. Please select the attribute you wish to enhance.]
[Current available True Attribute Points: 0.]
[Do you want to use Golden Skill Points to convert to True Attribute Points? (1 Golden Skill Point = 5 True Attribute Points)]

Bai Ye frowned. He had two Golden Skill Points, which were very precious and usually used to upgrade key skills. But now, his attributes were somewhat lacking, especially in Strength and Agility.

"Convert one Golden Skill Point," he decided.

[Conversion successful. You have received 5 True Attribute Points.]
[Current True Attribute Points: 5.]

Bai Ye allocated the 5 points to Strength and Agility, 3 points to Strength and 2 points to Agility.

[Enhancement successful.]
[True Strength: 388 points.]
[True Agility: 374 points.]

A warm current flowed through his body, and Bai Ye felt his strength and speed improve. He nodded in satisfaction, then left the Attribute Enhancement Hall and headed to the Skill Upgrade Hall.

The Skill Upgrade Hall was equally busy. Bai Ye found a Skill Upgrade Pod, stepped inside, and closed the hatch.

[Welcome to the Skill Upgrade Pod. Please select the skill you wish to upgrade.]
[Current Golden Skill Points: 1.]
[Current Paradise Coins: 128,500.]

Bai Ye opened his skill list. His core skills included Blade Path: Azure Demon, Blade Path Sword: Time, Blade Path Sword: Extreme, and the passive skill Cyan Steel Shadow Energy.

He pondered for a moment. Blade Path: Azure Demon was his main attack skill, but it was already at a high level. Blade Path Sword: Time was a powerful control skill, but it consumed a lot of energy. Blade Path Sword: Extreme was his ultimate move, but it had a long cooldown.

"Upgrade Cyan Steel Shadow Energy," he decided.

Cyan Steel Shadow Energy was his core passive skill, enhancing all his attack damage and providing additional True Damage. Upgrading it would directly increase his overall combat power.

[Do you want to upgrade Cyan Steel Shadow Energy (Level 10 → Level 11)?]
[Required: 1 Golden Skill Point, 50,000 Paradise Coins.]

Bai Ye confirmed.

[Upgrade successful.]
[Cyan Steel Shadow Energy (Level 11): Increases all attack damage by 55%, additional True Damage 220 points.]

A powerful energy surged within him, and Bai Ye felt his strength increase significantly. He took a deep breath, then left the Skill Upgrade Pod.

After completing the attribute and skill enhancements, Bai Ye headed to the Trade Market. He planned to buy some supplies to prepare for the next battle.

The Trade Market was bustling with activity, with contractors setting up stalls everywhere, selling various equipment, potions, and materials. Bai Ye walked through the market, occasionally stopping to check out items.

He soon found a stall selling potions. The stall owner was a middle-aged contractor, and the stall was filled with various recovery potions and enhancement potions.

"Boss, how much for these Recovery Potions?" Bai Ye asked, pointing to a row of dark red potions.

"These are high-grade Recovery Potions, 500 Paradise Coins each. If you buy ten, I'll give you a discount, 4,500 Paradise Coins," the stall owner said with a smile.

Bai Ye nodded. "Give me twenty."

"Deal!" The stall owner's eyes lit up as he quickly packed the potions.

Bai Ye paid 9,000 Paradise Coins and put away the potions. He continued browsing the market and soon found a stall selling alchemical materials.

The stall owner was a young girl, and the stall was filled with various rare materials. Bai Ye's gaze fell on a piece of black ore.

"How much is this Living Ore?" he asked.

"10,000 Paradise Coins," the girl said.

Bai Ye frowned. The price was a bit high, but the Living Ore was a rare material for forging equipment. He hesitated for a moment, then decided to buy it.

"Deal."

He paid 10,000 Paradise Coins and put away the Living Ore. After buying the supplies, Bai Ye prepared to leave the Trade Market.

Just then, a familiar voice came from behind.

"Bai Ye!"

Bai Ye turned around and saw Mawen Hua'erzi walking toward him. Hua'erzi was a tall, middle-aged man with a scar on his face, looking fierce.

"Old Ma, what brings you here?" Bai Ye asked.

"I came to buy some supplies. I heard you killed the Archbishop of the Abyss. Not bad!" Hua'erzi said with a grin.

"Just lucky," Bai Ye said calmly.

"Lucky, my ass. That guy is an Eighth Rank powerhouse. If it weren't for your strength, you'd be dead by now," Hua'erzi said, shaking his head. "By the way, are you free? I want to invite you to join a mission."

"What mission?" Bai Ye asked.

"There's a newly discovered war world. The Void Tree has issued a mission to explore it. The rewards are generous, but the danger is high. I'm forming a team and want you to join," Hua'erzi said.

Bai Ye pondered for a moment. A war world meant intense conflict, but also rich rewards. He was just short of resources to enhance his strength, so this was a good opportunity.

"Alright, I'll join," Bai Ye agreed.

"Great! We'll set off in three days. I'll notify you then," Hua'erzi said, patting Bai Ye on the shoulder before turning and leaving.

Bai Ye watched Hua'erzi's retreating figure, a thoughtful look in his eyes. The war world was full of unknowns, but also opportunities. He needed to be fully prepared.

He returned to his exclusive room, took out the newly purchased supplies, and began organizing them. Recovery Potions, alchemical materials, and some spare equipment were all neatly arranged.

After finishing, Bai Ye sat cross-legged on the bed, closed his eyes, and began to rest. The battle with the Archbishop of the Abyss had consumed a lot of his energy, and he needed to recover his strength.

Three days later, he would embark on a new journey.
