# Chapter 101: A Friendly Meeting

The door to the meeting room was pushed open. The first to enter was a short, bald woman with metal studs covering her earlobes. Her gaze swept across the three people in the room. Sensing no killing intent or danger, and confirming they carried no weapons, she stepped aside.

"What good day is this, so many people coming to pledge themselves to me? You better not be evil spirits."

A vigorous voice rang out as Bishop Polos entered the room. Layers of fat hung down from his chest, and his chin wasn't just a double chin—there were several folds. From the expression on his face, he seemed to be smiling, but it was a smile that made one's heart uneasy.

Bishop Polos had three major traits: lechery, gourmet food, and a hobby of collecting human organs.

"So this is Lord Polos? I've heard of you back in Sanctuary City No. 5."

Wood stood up, and beside him, Zuiyasi did the same. Su Xiao, however, remained seated. Seeing this, Bishop Polos felt displeased but didn't show it. In the past, anyone who disrespected him like this would have died, but he was in a good mood today.

"So this is Doctor Bai Ye. Sit, sit, everyone sit. Be like Bai Ye, no need for formalities. We're all family from now on."

Just as Bishop Polos settled into his oversized seat, Su Xiao stood up and walked straight toward the door.

"What's this?"

Bishop Polos was utterly confused. If not for Su Xiao's identity as a doctor, he would have already turned hostile and ordered him killed.

"..."

Su Xiao didn't speak. He stopped in front of the short, bald woman, looking down at her. This woman had a unique charm about her—if she had hair, she would surely be a beauty of exceptional quality.

The bald woman tilted her head up slightly, meeting Su Xiao's gaze. Her eyes gradually narrowed. Just as she was about to act—

*Pfft!*

A serrated short blade pierced up from under her chin, emerging through the top of her skull. Her eyes slowly widened to their maximum, containing nothing but disbelief.

Su Xiao withdrew the long blade. The bald woman fell to her knees with a thud, her leaning body pressing against his leg before slowly sliding sideways to the ground. With another thud, she collapsed completely. Blood flowed from her chin and crown, spreading beneath her as the smell of blood dispersed.

Witnessing this, Bishop Polos was stunned for a moment—it had been nearly twenty years since he'd encountered anything like this. Then, he laughed in anger.

"Hahaha, hahahahaha!"

Bishop Polos leaned back in his seat, laughing heartily. It had been a long time since he'd experienced something so sudden and amusing.

"You came to assassinate me? How childish—"

Bishop Polos's words caught halfway, as if something was stuck in his throat. He choked abruptly.

*Boom!*

Alternate Space instantly invaded the area. With a thunderous roar, three auras erupted—one of blood energy, another pitch black, and the last a ghostly green.

In Bishop Polos's perception, the room suddenly contained a massive, grinning blood beast, a tentacled giant lurking in darkness, and finally a ghostly green, grotesque giant skull. All three were staring at him.

*'This... is bad!'*

Cold sweat beaded on Bishop Polos's back. He couldn't laugh anymore. He had thought it was a wild dog's ambush, but instead, a ferocious beast had come knocking. The contrast was too great.

*Crack!*

The seat beneath Bishop Polos shattered. Like a flesh tank at full throttle, he charged straight forward.

*Bang!*

Zuiyasi punched Bishop Polos square in the head. His trajectory shifted, and he crashed into the wall ahead. The wall broke through, but a layer of Alternate Space barrier appeared.

Bishop Polos felt a wet warmth on his face. He raised his hand to touch it—his hand came back covered in blood. The left side of his face, where he'd been punched, was practically gone, revealing a bloody skull.

Zuiyasi raised his right hand. The tentacles protruding from it retracted, and strips of flesh fell from his hand.

"You taste terrible. Much worse than that pretty boy from the Feather Race."

Zuiyasi shook the blood off his right hand. Bishop Polos's expression twisted slightly. Then he thought—what were his guards doing? Why hadn't they acted? He turned to look.

*Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!*

Two serrated short blades flew through the air. Severed limbs and broken arms scattered everywhere. With a *zzt* sound, a line of water sliced through, and Su Xiao ducked to avoid it.

He blurred into a blood shadow, appearing before a Sea Race guard. This guard was no pushover either—droplets of water formed tiny water blades that cut through Su Xiao's body from all directions. Unfortunately, this was only Su Xiao's afterimage.

Su Xiao emerged from Space Penetration state. He now stood behind the Sea Race guard, both serrated short blades held horizontally against the guard's neck from both sides.

"Please don't—"

*Shrrrk!*

The serrated blades cut deep into the flesh, mercilessly, without a shred of pity or hesitation.

*Bang! Bang!*

Two marble-sized iron balls flew past Su Xiao's ear and neck respectively. Opposite him, an octopus-faced Sea Race member was inhaling. Though his attacks were simple, being hit by them was no joke—even Su Xiao would have bloody holes blown through him.

The throat-slitting of the Sea Race guard sent a spray of blood into the air. Using the characteristics of his Blood Beast talent, Su Xiao grabbed a few droplets, mixed Cyan Steel Shadow Energy into them, and hurled them at the octopus face.

With a explosive crack, several blood droplets broke the sound barrier, shooting toward the octopus face. The octopus face raised his six octopus tentacle arms to block.

*Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap!*

Four blood droplets were blocked by the tentacle arms, but the octopus face felt a stinging pain spreading from his arms. He looked down and saw four crystal short needles embedded in his arm. Minor injuries like this—the octopus face immediately dismissed them.

"Ahhh!"

The octopus face let out a miserable scream, collapsing and convulsing. Purple-black pustules erupted on his skin. Within just two seconds, he ascended on the spot. The crystal short needles carried potent alchemical poison.

Five Sea Race guards remained. They covered each other, all staring at Su Xiao. As for protecting Bishop Polos—they could only say, sorry Lord Polos, take care of yourself.

"Go, go!"

"You... you first!"

"Get him, damn it!"

A shark-faced Sea Race member kicked a half-human Sea Race forward. The half-human had no choice but to shout "charge together" before lunging at Su Xiao.

The half-human's shout was effective. The other four Sea Race members swarmed in as well.

Su Xiao threw both short blades forward. The half-human charging at him dodged by tilting his head, but at that moment, Su Xiao vanished from his sight.

Dragon Shadow Flash ability activated. Su Xiao appeared behind the half-human, catching the thrown short blades. Then, he delivered a side kick to the half-human's back.

*Bang!*

The half-human didn't fly forward. Everything below his waist exploded into minced flesh and blood mist. Because the attack force was so terrifying, his upper body didn't fly away—it just fell. Seeing this, Su Xiao drove both serrated short blades into his chest.

*'Blood Drain.'*

Su Xiao withdrew the two serrated short blades, pulling out a stream of blood that transformed the two short blades into blood-edged long blades.

*Click.*

Su Xiao connected the pommels of the two blood-edged long blades together, twisted, and the rings on the pommels interlocked. He spun his hands, and the connected blades rotated at high speed, forming a blood blade wheel. The cutting sound as it spun was especially chilling.

Just as everyone thought Su Xiao would hurl the blood blade wheel away, *zzt*—the Realm Severing Thread wrapped around the wheel tightened as it spun. This caused the previously released Realm Severing Thread to entangle three of the remaining four Sea Race guards. Dragon-Slaying Flash appeared in Su Xiao's hand.

*'Azure Demon.'*

*Clang!*

A cyan-blue slash flew out, cutting through the three Sea Race guards who had no chance to dodge as the Realm Severing Thread dug into their flesh. Three half-human, half-fish heads flew off.

The blood blade wheel stopped spinning. With a *click*, it split back into two blades, which Su Xiao stored into his Cyan Steel Shadow. The Realm Severing Thread also retracted into his sleeve with a *zzt*.

Su Xiao held his long blade, its tip pointing diagonally at the ground. The last Sea Race guard, with a grouper fish face, stood there. His thick lips and dull expression seemed to have the word "idiot" written on his forehead. Looking at him, you felt he was expressing some inexplicable awkwardness.

Baha flew over and landed on Su Xiao's shoulder. He said, "Grouper face, we won't bully you. You and my boss have a one-on-one fight."

Hearing this, the grouper face quickly shook his head. He hesitated for a moment, then thought about how his former colleagues had bullied him, and how Bishop Polos had used him as a footrest. Gripping his weapon with both hands, he roared and charged at Bishop Polos.
