Chapter 70: Return and Assessment
Su Xiao was amused. Nami had actually eaten sticky rice cake after swallowing the alchemy bomb, and now the two were stuck together in a clump.
She hadn’t known it was a bomb before. Such things were unavoidable.
“Can’t the bomb be taken out?”
There was despair in Nami’s eyes.
“No, it can be taken out. Your companion goes to the risky trade for me, and I’ll help you remove the bomb. That’s a fair and reasonable deal.”
Su Xiao pondered for a moment, then took out several U-shaped iron bars.
Clang, clang…
Su Xiao used the U-shaped iron bars to secure Nami’s limbs. The bars sank into the cement of the rooftop, binding Nami in place.
“Hey, what are you doing? Isn’t this supposed to be a fair trade?”
Nami struggled, but her struggles were futile.
“Just to prevent you from struggling. You won’t like what happens next.”
Su Xiao took out several tools from his storage space.
“What… is that thing?”
Nami stared in shock at a rubber tube in Su Xiao’s hand. There were some unidentified objects on the tube, metallic in texture.
“Open your mouth.”
“No.”
Su Xiao nodded, put down the rubber tube, and drew Dragon-Slaying Flash.
“What are you doing now? Don’t scare me.”
“If you refuse the gentle method of removing the bomb, then we’ll use a more direct approach.”
Nami immediately opened her mouth. Before long, muffled sounds came from the rooftop, occasionally accompanied by a pitiful cry of grievance.
Over an hour later, Nami crouched on the rooftop, her face pale. She felt utterly terrible.
Not far from Nami, an alchemy bomb lay discarded on the ground.
Nami was no longer as frightened as before. So far, Su Xiao hadn’t done anything too extreme.
The bomb had been removed, and that man had left the rooftop. Now only a dog remained, and Nami began to consider how to escape.
Zzzz~.
A barely noticeable thread coiled around Nami’s arm. Feeling its sharp touch, she abandoned the idea of escape.
Su Xiao returned to the rooftop and looked into the distance. Several large warships appeared on the coastline.
The warships stopped far from Water Seven and lowered a small boat.
Seeing this, Su Xiao took out a Den Den Mushi.
“The item is under the trash can on the fourth street. Go get it.”
After speaking, he hung up the Den Den Mushi and took out Spider Empress. The cooldown for the Optical Infrared Detection Scope 8x (Active) had ended, and Su Xiao activated it directly.
Through the scope, he saw Zoro heading toward the fourth block. Zoro quickly retrieved the Pluton blueprints.
Su Xiao glanced at the remaining stay time. There was still half an hour. He had already completed the main mission. Fortunately, the Pluton blueprints hadn’t disappeared, which made the trade much easier.
“Bolu, bolu, bolu.”
The Den Den Mushi rang. It was Zoro calling.
“Got the item. What now?”
“Go to the southern coast for the trade. I’ll contact you later.”
Su Xiao hung up the Den Den Mushi, and another one rang. It was from the Marines.
“We’ve arrived. Where are you?”
It wasn’t Sengoku’s voice. Sengoku needed to stay at Marine Headquarters. Su Xiao recognized this voice—it was Marine Admiral Aokiji, a Logia-type Devil Fruit user, someone Su Xiao couldn’t fight against at his current level.
He aimed the scope toward the warships. Aokiji stood on the deck of one, holding a Den Den Mushi.
“Where I am doesn’t matter. Hand the item over to Roronoa Zoro.”
“No, you must come in person.”
“Are you dreaming?”
Aokiji fell silent.
“Roronoa Zoro has arrived. Let’s trade.”
Su Xiao aimed the scope toward the coast. Zoro met with a female Marine; they seemed to know each other.
Su Xiao dialed Zoro’s Den Den Mushi.
“Hold the item up.”
Zoro looked around, as if searching for Su Xiao’s position, and raised the item in his hand—a small booklet and a piece of wood the size of a fingernail.
“Alright, leave the coast immediately.”
Five minutes later, bolu, bolu, bolu… The urgent ringing of the Den Den Mushi came. It was Aokiji.
“Where’s the page for the Pluton power core?”
It seemed the Marines had consulted an authority on the matter. Su Xiao scanned the surroundings with the scope and spotted a familiar figure—Vegapunk.
“I’ll tell you the location in five minutes. I need to verify the goods.”
Without waiting for Aokiji’s reply, Su Xiao hung up. The reason the Marines were so confident in the trade was that Water Seven was now inescapable. Aokiji could freeze this entire sea area, sealing both land and sea.
Nami stared blankly at Su Xiao’s back. She felt like she was watching a major villain orchestrating the entire situation.
Su Xiao took out the Den Den Mushi for contacting Zoro.
“Come to the rooftop of the third building in the central district.”
Zoro didn’t reply but switched from walking to running.
Three minutes later, a breathless Zoro arrived at the rooftop where Su Xiao was.
“Hand over the items.”
Zoro hesitated for a few seconds before tossing the two items to Su Xiao.

Both items were exceptionally rare, and Su Xiao learned something new: the quality above Purple was Dark Purple. He had never seen Dark Purple items or equipment in the Trade Market. Such a level was extremely rare.
He retracted the Realm Severing Thread, and Nami regained her freedom.
“The deal is done. From now on, each to their own. By the way, Marine Admiral Aokiji has arrived.”
Zoro and Nami quickly left. Su Xiao sat on the rooftop and lit a cigarette.
He sold the [World Tree Branch]. He had originally planned to use it to “extort” Reincarnation Paradise, but now it seemed he would need to seize something from the nobles to be reliable. The previous [World Tree Ring] had been specially processed, which made it so valuable. That might have used up all his luck.
The plan was complete. Su Xiao chose to return to Reincarnation Paradise.
Crack, crack, crack—freezing sounds came. A figure radiating cold air arrived at the rooftop. Aokiji had arrived. In the distance, golden light flickered; it was likely Kizaru preventing Su Xiao from escaping.
“Marine Admirals are truly terrifying.”
Su Xiao’s body gradually became transparent. Aokiji’s expression changed, and he appeared in front of Su Xiao in an instant, reaching for his neck.
Aokiji grabbed nothing. Su Xiao vanished from the spot.

Su Xiao opened his eyes in the Exclusive Room and looked at the various items in his storage space. This trip had been a massive harvest.
If he converted all these items into strength, his combat power would increase by at least half, if not more.
