The crystals encasing Su Xiao’s lower body began to shatter, and two seconds later, he successfully broke free.
Just as Su Xiao prepared to pursue the enemy, he found that the enemy had stopped in place, a look of anxiety in her eyes, but even more so, a sense of heartache.

For some reason, the more Li looked at the surrounding buildings, the more familiar they seemed—until she spotted that three-story building with its roof blown off.

Having killed seven enemies, he collected three Scarlet Cards. One came from that naked woman, while the other two weren’t particularly valuable.
From the seven enemies combined, his talent ability Soul Devourer increased his mana by 48 points. That was a decent gain. Along with the 48-point mana boost, Su Xiao’s health increased by 14 points.
Su Xiao sheathed Dragon-Slashing Flash, signaling the end of the battle.
If it were Bruno facing these contractors, he might have lost. Li’s ability countered Shave, and Lilith’s ability countered Iron Body. Working together, with the ordinary contractors holding back Robin, they had a decent chance of killing Bruno.
“Bubu, come out.”
Su Xiao looked around. That fool Bubu had hidden himself somewhere again.

Looking at Bubu lying on his back, Su Xiao signaled for him to get up.
Bubuteni not only refused to get up but wiggled his body, exposing his white, fluffy belly even more.
Su Xiao patted Bubu’s belly again. Only then did Bubu rise with a satisfied expression and start rubbing against Su Xiao’s leg.
“Bai Ye, where are the enemies?”
Bruno ran over, his hands stained with blood and a gunshot wound on his shoulder. He must have encountered other enemies. The barrier couldn’t trap Bruno, a Door-Door Fruit user. If not for the enemies, Bruno would have come to support immediately.
“The enemies are dealt with. The original plan remains unchanged—we move tonight.”
