Chapter 25: I'm Still Young, Please Spare Me

An explosion rang out, flames shot into the sky. The rooftop where Li and Lilim stood collapsed, large chunks of building debris falling as the two dropped down to the third floor.

"Cough, cough, cough."

Dust billowed inside the third floor as Lilim and Li coughed repeatedly.

"Didn't you say the enemy's main weapon was a blade? I can tolerate guns, but how is there such a powerful bomb... Damn it!"

Another alchemy bomb was tossed into the room. The two instinctively dove to the ground.

Several seconds passed, but the alchemy bomb didn't explode. Lilim, lying prone, looked up in confusion.

Just then, Lilim suddenly noticed Li rushing quickly toward the window, as if something terrifying was about to happen inside this building.

With only a moment's thought, Lilim also got up and charged toward the window.

With a crash, the window shattered as both leaped out, shards of glass scattering everywhere.

Midair, Lilim scanned her surroundings. Besides the panicked civilians fleeing in all directions, she spotted a man holding a long blade—this was the enemy.

Though airborne, Lilim wasn't completely defenseless. The blood flowing from her wounds surged, and she could actually control her own blood, forming it into a crimson longsword.

"Li, restrain him."

Lilim shouted as she and Li landed almost simultaneously.

Zzzt~!

The sound of metal wire tightening came. The moment she landed, Lilim felt sharp pain all over her body, as if thin, razor-sharp lines were cutting into her flesh.

Su Xiao's left hand, wrapped in a crimson gauntlet, grabbed the Realm Severing Thread. After entangling the enemy, he yanked hard.

Pfft, a large spray of blood erupted from Lilim's body as she was sliced into over a dozen pieces.

Su Xiao frowned. The feel was wrong. There was no kill notification, and the amount of blood was too excessive.

After charging out of the abandoned factory earlier, Su Xiao had immediately headed toward the densest concentration of enemies.

Upon reaching the area with more enemies, he noticed something was off. These contractors were too weak—their ranks were inflated, but their actual strength was lacking.

Though these contractors weren't strong, they were abnormally ferocious, firing shotguns and AKs at him in a wild barrage.

Su Xiao killed all five in 1 minute and 17 seconds. This puzzled him. With strength like that, how did they dare provoke Bruno, a CP9 agent?

Thinking this way, the remaining two were likely the main force. So Su Xiao used the Shattered Elf to lock onto one person on the rooftop and fired a Gaze Shot.

All six shots hit the enemy, knocking them down, but no kill notification appeared. After all, the Shattered Elf's attack power had greatly increased at +5, and landing all six Gaze Shots boosted damage by 40%. Even so, the enemy didn't die, indicating decent durability.

The enemy was at a high vantage point. Su Xiao didn't charge directly into the three-story building. Instead, he quickly approached it and tossed an alchemy bomb upstairs.

After the alchemy bomb exploded, the enemy still wasn't dead, falling to the third floor. So Su Xiao threw one bomb each at the first, second, and third floors, planning to blow up the building.

Before detonating the alchemy bombs, Su Xiao had already anticipated the enemy might jump out a window to escape. So he positioned himself near a window close to the enemy's location, calculated their landing point, and set up a trap with the Realm Severing Thread there.

Things went as Su Xiao predicted. After he threw the alchemy bomb at the third floor, the enemy indeed jumped out the window. He decisively abandoned detonating the bomb—that would have been wasteful.

The enemy landed, and Su Xiao tightened the Realm Severing Thread. That was the whole process.

Zzzt~.

The Realm Severing Thread retracted onto its spool. Su Xiao stared at the pile of severed limbs not far away. That woman wasn't dead—he was certain.

As for the other enemy nearby, Su Xiao felt they might be hard to kill, so he decided to eliminate one first.

Blood surged on the ground. Lilim's severed limbs gradually turned into blood, eventually coalescing into a mass.

Crimson blood churned. After a few seconds, the blood formed into a human shape. Lilim stood there completely naked, her face even paler, breathing heavily.

"Friend, we have no grievances. No need to be so ruthless."

Lilim stood still, unconcerned about being naked—this was exactly the effect she wanted.

"How about we talk?"

Lilim slowly moved closer to Li, who was also moving toward her.

"Nothing to discuss. Your target is Nico Robin or Bruno. Life and death are decided by the blade. No other possibility."

Su Xiao approached the two, blade in hand.

"Don't be so heartless."

Lilim winked at Su Xiao and even began to "touch herself." The scene was enough to make anyone's nose bleed.

"As long as you don't kill me, anything goes~."

Lilim licked her lips. Seeing this, Li beside her spat softly and muttered, "What a shameful skill."

Lilim's mouth twitched, but she kept her seductive smile and whispered, "Then you try. Maybe this guy likes your type."

Li said nothing more. He didn't dare approach Su Xiao. Right now, he had a strong urge to turn and run.

The enemy was truly terrifying. Before they even saw him, they were already half-crippled. Lilim had even used her life-saving skill, "Bloodification."

"Come on, use your 36Ds to seduce the enemy. If we can avoid fighting, that's best, even if it means sacrificing some... assets."

"Shut up. I will never let any man touch me."

Li froze, looking at Lilim in confusion.

"Then why did you sneak into my bed last night..."

Li suddenly realized something and turned away, saying nothing more. The secret might have been exposed.

Lilim twisted her body and beckoned Su Xiao with her finger.

"Come here. I've been waiting for you."

A crimson glow appeared in Su Xiao's eyes, and Reincarnation Paradise issued a warning.

[Warning: The Hunter is under mental inducement. Intelligence attribute being evaluated...]
[Judgment passed. Detected that the Hunter has strong immunity to mental control abilities. This mental inducement has been resisted.]

Su Xiao, his pupils now crimson, continued forward, seemingly controlled. But that wasn't the case—he had already resisted this inducement skill and could break free at any time. Yet he didn't.

Su Xiao gradually approached the enemy. Five meters. Four meters. Three meters.

"Put down the blade. It's in the way. You wouldn't want to hurt my skin, would you? I belong to you. Every inch of my body is yours."

Lilim scratched her palm with her nail. Blood quickly surged out, forming a dagger.

"Of course I would."

The crimson in Su Xiao's eyes faded. He took a step forward, closing the distance to Lilim. He raised the Dragon-Slaying Flash sideways and slashed horizontally toward her neck.

Lilim was stunned. She had clearly seen the crimson glow in the enemy's eyes. Even if the control failed, there should have been a notification. Had the enemy resisted? Failure gave a prompt, but resistance didn't.

The long blade howled through the air, leaving a white trail.

In this critical moment, Lilim raised her blood dagger, trying to block Su Xiao's slash.

Ding.

The dagger snapped on impact. The long blade continued straight toward Lilim's throat.

Pfft, the blade sank into flesh. Blood sprayed wildly.

The Dragon-Slaying Flash embedded into Lilim's neck, cutting through a third of it.

For some reason, Su Xiao's body froze. His grip on the hilt creaked audibly.

Taking advantage of Su Xiao's pause, Lilim shifted her body. The long blade slid out of her neck. Blood flowed from the wound, quickly staining half her body red.

Lilim didn't use this opportunity to attack Su Xiao. Attacking him now would be basically useless.

Crack, crack.

Large cracks suddenly appeared in the air around Su Xiao, like shattered glass.

A transparent shield formed around Su Xiao, trapping him inside.

With a shattering sound, the shield broke apart. Su Xiao looked at the young contractor nearby—male or female, he couldn't tell. This was their ability.

"Run! His strength attribute is at least 30 points. Hope his agility isn't high."

Li bolted, his short legs moving incredibly fast. As he ran, he turned to look at Su Xiao. He didn't see Su Xiao—only a rapidly approaching dark shadow.

"You've got to be kidding me! His agility attribute is also over 30 points!"

Tears welled up in Li's eyes. 'She' was still young. 'She' didn't want to die.
