Chapter 9: MVP · Bubu Wang

The little fatty emerged from the black rotten flesh, his upper body surfacing while that faint, ever-present smile lingered on his face.
With one hand gripping his upper jaw and the other his lower jaw, he pulled with force, tearing his mouth wide open like unzipping a zipper. This wasn’t the little fatty’s true body, but a temporary shell constructed from Black Demon energy.
A petite figure crawled out from the little fatty’s wide-open mouth. Her gaze swept around, and then she let out a sweet smile.
“Good afternoon, everyone.”
No sooner had the petite girl spoken than red ghosts began drifting out from various parts of her body. With the little fatty’s cover, no one dared to attack her recklessly.
Boom, boom, boom…
The explosions lasted for several minutes before subsiding. The casualties on the Apocalypse Paradise side were not severe, but their morale took a critical hit.
The abilities of the six-member Suicide Squad were by no means the strongest, but they were the most bizarre and ruthless.
Keep in mind, this was only the little fatty and the Ghost Girl making their move. The Poison Master, the Evil Seed, the Black Parasite, and the Taliban Player had yet to act.
While they couldn’t inflict heavy losses on Apocalypse Paradise, they could certainly drag down their morale.
As the smoke and dust from the explosions cleared, the little fatty and the Ghost Girl had vanished without a trace. The spot where they had been was now a patch of scorched earth.
“Wah…”
A little boy sat on the scorched earth, hugging his knees with his head buried, sobbing softly.
Seeing this little boy, the Nameless Saint’s head was buzzing. He wanted to know what kind of monstrosity this was now.
“They’re all bullying me, and now you’re bullying me too.”
The little boy burst into loud crying, and cracks began to appear on his cheeks and the backs of his hands at a visible rate.
Boom!!
A mushroom cloud rose into the air, sending the Nameless Saint flying from the blast.
When the explosion subsided, a massive crater had formed where the little boy had been. Flesh and tattered clothing gathered within the crater, and a few seconds later, the little boy sat there, his clothes somewhat torn.
A monster burrowed out from the dirt, swallowing the little boy whole in one gulp.
A whooshing sound came from the horizon—a massive glass cylinder filled with dark green liquid.
Leaving aside the somewhat dazed but lightly damaged Apocalypse Paradise side, tens of kilometers away, at the Death Paradise base camp.
The Mad Doctor lay atop the Death Paradise airship, hands behind his head. The infiltration was successful. He was waiting—waiting for someone to discover the Space-Time Power Condensate. Now, a bait was needed, and the Space-Time Power Condensate was the perfect lure.

All five factions had completed their landings and stabilized themselves using their base camps. The significance of having a base camp was immense. Not only did it provide a retreat, but the healing aura within the base camp was a pleasant surprise for the contractors.
The contractors from Holy Light Paradise, Sanctuary Paradise, Death Paradise, and Reincarnation Paradise all began searching for Space-Time Power Condensate in the areas near their base camps. The spatial coordinates of the five factions interfered with each other, meaning the search for the condensate could only rely on the contractors themselves.
The contractors from the four factions formed teams of about fifty people each and started searching for the Space-Time Power Condensate. Interestingly, the Mad Doctor had also joined a Death Paradise search team. Judging by his demeanor, he had fully immersed himself into the identity of a Death Paradise contractor.
A skilled spy doesn’t spend every day thinking about how to complete the mission. Instead, they first integrate into the enemy, mimic their behavior patterns, and act accordingly.
At this moment, the Mad Doctor was just a Death Paradise contractor eager to win the war. He had average combat strength, decent perception, a somewhat selfish personality, but a decent sense of the bigger picture. Nothing about him stood out too much, and nothing seemed suspicious.
The four factions were all searching for the Space-Time Power Condensate, except for the Apocalypse Paradise side, which had yet to deploy. The reason was that the Suicide Squad had given them a hard time. The losses weren’t catastrophic, but it was painful, especially the blow to morale.
The Suicide Squad soon went into hiding. The six of them didn’t dare to act too recklessly; if they were caught off guard, they could be wiped out in an instant.
The Apocalypse Paradise side split into six teams, each with a hundred people. One team was led by the Nameless Saint, another by the quirky girl Rainbow Bird, and the remaining four had their own leaders. The rest of the contractors stayed behind at the base camp, ready to reinforce the other six teams at any moment. The advantage of numbers was evident here.
The Space-Time Power Condensate would all fall into this area within ten days. Some had likely already fallen, but their exact locations were unknown.
The situation calmed down until three in the afternoon, when the Holy Light Paradise side discovered the first piece of Space-Time Power Condensate.
Logically, Holy Light Paradise should have immediately brought the condensate back to their base camp and sealed it away, ensuring absolute safety.
But if the condensate were that easy to obtain, the five factions wouldn’t need to set up base camps. Within a hundred-meter radius of where the condensate fell, there were chaotic Space-Time Power currents.
Rushing directly into that chaotic Space-Time Power was suicide. To retrieve the condensate at the center, one first needed to set up dispersion devices to clear the contaminated Space-Time Power in the vicinity.
Dispersion devices could be obtained for free at the base camp, with a limit of one per person. Near the Space-Time Power currents, a maximum of five dispersion devices could be set up. Any more could trigger a spatial detonation.
Dozens of Holy Light Paradise contractors set up their dispersion devices and activated them. A beam of light shot straight into the sky. The Holy Light Paradise girls were dumbfounded—unless they were blind, the two neighboring factions could see that beam. Unfortunately for them, Holy Light Paradise’s neighbors were Death Paradise and Reincarnation Paradise.
As soon as the beam rose, the Death Paradise contractors noticed it. Their thought was: “Oh? What’s that? Let’s go check it out.”
The Reincarnation Paradise contractors naturally saw it too, but the dispersion device’s power wasn’t low. In less than a minute, the beam disappeared.
Just their luck, as the dozens of Holy Light Paradise contractors were about to grab the Space-Time Power Condensate and retreat, the Sanctuary Paradise religious group blocked their path.
How could the largest faction, Apocalypse Paradise, miss out on this opportunity? They marched valiantly toward the battlefield, only to run into the main force of Reincarnation Paradise along the way.
Enemies meeting face to face—there was no red-eyed rage. Apocalypse Paradise only had one team, totaling about a hundred people. After encountering Reincarnation Paradise’s main force, they made a sharp turn.
Watching the retreating Apocalypse Paradise team, Su Xiao decided not to pursue. The Space-Time Power Condensate was more important at the moment.
Rumbling sounds came from the distance. Following the source, Su Xiao quickly arrived near the battlefield, accompanied by over two hundred Reincarnation Paradise contractors.
Ahead was a meteor crater, conservatively estimated to be over a kilometer in diameter. Inside, three factions’ contractors were already locked in chaotic combat. This crater wasn’t caused by the Space-Time Power Condensate’s impact; it had existed before. The Holy Light Paradise team had fled here and was now surrounded by Death Paradise and Sanctuary Paradise contractors.
“Let’s hold back and observe…”
Before the Dean could finish, several of their own contractors charged into the crater.
“What’s there to observe? Can you control them?”
“Spread out, target only Holy Light Paradise.”
The Dean shouted, then calmly sat down on a rock. Fighting and killing? His old bones were “not good at that.”
While their own contractors were hard to command, it didn’t mean they completely ignored orders. After hearing this roar, their expressions didn’t change much, but the Holy Light Paradise team trapped in the crater nearly had a stroke.
Being besieged by Death Paradise and the religious group was already despairing enough. Now, with Reincarnation Paradise’s main force joining in, if they didn’t abandon the Space-Time Power Condensate, they’d have to start considering what model of urn to use—flip-top or slide-top.
Inside the crater, chaos reigned. With four factions’ contractors gathered here, the scene was as chaotic as one could imagine. Various magical abilities flew everywhere, but no one used large-scale abilities or items, fearing friendly fire or damaging the Space-Time Power Condensate, as no one knew how sturdy it was.
“Throw it away, now!”
A combat healer with blood on her face shouted. She was about to collapse.
Hearing this, her teammate, a hooded female contractor, pulled out the Space-Time Power Condensate from her chest. It was only the size of a fist.
Gritting her teeth, the female contractor tossed the condensate into the air. Almost all the contractors in the melee stopped, their eyes fixed on the condensate flying through the air. Many were ready to snatch it.
Under the sunlight, the Space-Time Power Condensate looked dazzlingly beautiful. But to everyone’s astonishment, as it flew midair, it suddenly vanished!
The scene fell silent. The condensate had disappeared right before everyone’s eyes, leaving no trace. The atmosphere was nearly frozen.
At that moment, Bubu Wang, blending into the environment, was holding the Space-Time Power Condensate in his mouth. His dog face showed a hint of “melancholy,” and his eyes seemed to say: “What were you all fighting for? Why’d you stop? Keep going~”
