Chapter 59: The Final Kill
On the main street of Aisenla, Su Xiao stood atop a pile of Dark Watcher corpses at least fifty meters high. None of them could put up a fight.
"Roar!"
The last Dark Watcher charged up the corpse pile toward Su Xiao. The next moment, a blade arc flashed, severing its head.
Su Xiao rubbed his ears. The Uta he had trapped in the crystal cage was nowhere to be found.
In truth, Su Xiao had long since discarded that cage. Using Uta to lure the Dark Watchers was efficient, but far too noisy. That "clang clang clang" racket was tolerable at first, but by the end, it rattled Su Xiao's eardrums painfully.
Beep~
An electronic tone came from Su Xiao's chest. He pulled out a communicator, its green light blinking.
"Going smoothly."
Su Xiao leaped down from the pile of corpses. The Bronze Gate had already been dealt with by Mr. J. The reason for such smooth progress was entirely due to Bubu Wang's ability.
From the very beginning, Su Xiao and the others hadn't split into two teams, but three.
Whether it was Mr. J's surprise attack team or Su Xiao's frontal assault team, both revolved around "Plan A" and "Plan B."
Plan A was proposed by Su Xiao, while Plan B came from Mr. J.
Su Xiao's plan was so simple that it left Mr. J speechless for a long time. It was: after everyone arrived at Aisenla, Xia would be responsible for locating the Bronze Gate. Her temporary ability, "Spirit Eye," could easily accomplish this.
After that, Bubu Wang would head straight for the Bronze Gate. Meanwhile, Su Xiao's team would create a huge commotion and clear out the Dark Watchers, covering Mr. J's surprise attack team to get as close to the Bronze Gate as possible.
Once Bubu Wang reached the Bronze Gate, it needed to confirm two things: first, how many enemies were near the Bronze Gate, and second, how long Mr. J would need to destroy it.
After receiving Bubu Wang's footage, Mr. J gave his answer. To completely destroy the Bronze Gate, he would need about 5 to 20 seconds. However, if he "swallowed it whole," it would be instantaneous. But doing so would require him to immediately return to Reincarnation Paradise to avoid being corroded by the Bronze Gate.
With this information, Su Xiao decided to execute Plan A. It had only three steps, yet it laid out Sphinx's scheme with perfect clarity.
