Chapter 37: Return
Seeing this scene, Su Xiao didn’t hesitate. In a few strides, he rushed in front of the Moon God, thrusting his Dragon-Slaying Flash downward.
The long blade pierced through the Moon God’s head, but that wasn’t enough. Su Xiao used all his strength to slant the blade upward, the edge once again breaking through bone and slicing out from the side of the Moon God’s skull.

The Moon God finally spoke. As one of the oldest beings in this world, he naturally understood human language, but he disdained to use it.
With a crack, Su Xiao crushed the Moon God’s head under his foot, but he didn’t stop. The Dragon-Slashing Flash slashed downward, aiming for the Moon God’s torso.
With a thunderous boom, Su Xiao felt a tremendous force from his side. A mass of cold, slimy matter slammed into him, quickly enveloping him.
The flesh of the Writhing Dragon wrapped Su Xiao and the Moon God together, waves of soul impact radiating outward.
A few seconds later, a monster rose from the ground. This was the Moon God’s other form. In this state, his soul abilities were greatly reduced, but his close-combat capabilities were enhanced.
The Moon God’s two forms essentially gave him two lives. After the first, mid-to-long-range combat form failed, he transformed into a purely melee form.
Now, the Moon God’s body was covered in gray-brown skin, with protruding bones beneath the surface. His height reached five meters, and on either side of him were two rows of massive ribs.

The Moon God’s two large hands slammed against his own head from both sides, producing another loud crash.
The noise inside the Moon God’s head ceased. He stood there, head drooping for a moment after the full-force blow to his own skull.
Clang, clang, clang…
The crisp sound of slashing came from within the Moon God’s head again. Baha charged straight at the Moon God, while Bubu Wang below leaped up, grabbing the Moon God’s thick calf and biting down hard.
A shockwave spread from the Moon God. Baha, mid-air, lost focus in his eyes. When he regained consciousness, he was already clutched in the Moon God’s hand.
Crack, crack…
Baha’s wings and bones snapped. The pain nearly made him pass out, but before he was completely incapacitated, Baha tilted his head back.

The Moon God’s large hand reached for his own head. Before he could strike again, Su Xiao appeared out of thin air.

A dull sound rang out. The Moon God’s head visibly swelled by a circle. His hand froze mid-air, and two streams of golden flame shot from his eye sockets.
