Chapter 1: Invitation from the Troupe

Su Xiao put away the three treasure chests. The Reincarnation Paradise had sent many notifications earlier, but he hadn’t had time to check them because he was fighting Ani. Now, he finally had a moment to look.

[This derivative world will undergo a time reset. Timeline resetting.]
[The derivative world is collapsing. Hunters must evacuate immediately.]
...

This series of notifications surprised Su Xiao. He felt like he had somehow broken the Titan World.

Boom!

A deafening roar came from behind him. Su Xiao looked back and vaguely saw large chunks of building debris shooting into the sky.

“Is that... the world inside the walls?”

Crack, crack.

The ground beneath Su Xiao’s feet began to dry and crack, and the surrounding grass and trees withered rapidly.

Within less than five minutes, the grassland where Su Xiao stood had turned into a desert.

Yellow dust filled the air. The sky was pitch black, thunder rumbled loudly, and terrifying lightning bolts flashed through the dark clouds.

Whoosh.

A fireball streaked down from the sky, trailing a long tail of flames, and crashed into the earth with a thunderous roar.

The island where the world inside the walls was located instantly shattered into several pieces, seawater spilling through the cracks.

“Is this a world reset? It feels more like the end of the world.”

Su Xiao felt the ground beneath him trembling violently. Fortunately, he had already completed his return mission and could go back at any time. He decided to watch what would happen to the Titan World.

Crack, crack, crack...

Suddenly, massive cracks spread across the sky. Su Xiao looked up.

In the sky of the Titan World, a massive formation made of spatial cracks appeared. The formation was boundless, as if it covered the entire Titan World.

[Warning: Space-Time Power is about to invade. The hunter must evacuate immediately. The hunter’s survival rate under the invasion of Space-Time Power is 0%.]

Upon receiving the notification from Reincarnation Paradise, Su Xiao stopped looking around. It was time to escape.

“Return.”

A wave of Space-Time Power enveloped Su Xiao. The familiar feeling made him instinctively cover the back of his head.

Bang.

Su Xiao cursed inwardly, “Damn it!” as his consciousness fell into a daze.

Reincarnation Paradise even had the power to destroy worlds. Couldn’t they change the teleportation method?

In his haze, Su Xiao was full of resentment. When his consciousness returned, he was in his exclusive room. He had returned to Reincarnation Paradise.

[Teleportation complete. The hunter has returned to the exclusive room.]
[The exclusive room is an absolute safe point. No one can enter without the hunter’s permission.]

After reviewing the various rewards, Su Xiao got up and walked to the bed. He collapsed onto it and fell into a deep sleep within ten seconds.

In the Titan World, Su Xiao had been physically and mentally exhausted. Although he hadn’t encountered any terrifyingly powerful enemies, he had used up a lot of brainpower.

The Titan World was a world designed to familiarize him with battlefield tasks. The task time limits weren’t strict, but the map was so large it was maddening.

What was even more frustrating was that there were very few tasks available in the Titan World. Apart from the two tasks issued by Reincarnation Paradise, Su Xiao hadn’t discovered any others.

Except for the royal family inside the walls, he had interacted with all the important characters. The protagonist of the story had been like a pendant, never leaving his side for most of the time.

Yet even so, he hadn’t received many tasks. This showed how few tasks there were in the Titan World.

Despite such a frustrating derivative world, Su Xiao had still managed to find new ways to play it.

His plan was to join Reiner and the others in heading to the Marley Empire. Even if they couldn’t reach Marley, they would pass by Eren’s family basement along the way.

Even if the basement yielded nothing, Su Xiao could kill the several Titan Power Inheritors who had left the city.

He had gathered six of the nine Titan Powers, which showed just how much brainpower he had expended.

...

Ten hours later, Su Xiao woke up groggily. A strong sense of hunger hit him. After washing up, a refreshed Su Xiao left the exclusive room.

In a restaurant run by a worker.

The restaurant wasn’t big, with only three tables, but it was warmly decorated, giving off a relaxing vibe.

“Sorry to keep you waiting.”

A cook in her twenties walked out of the kitchen, holding several plates of carefully prepared food.

The cook wasn’t tall, but she had a good figure. Although her face wasn’t beautiful, she had a kind of charm that grew on you.

Her name was Xia, just a single character. Su Xiao always ate at this restaurant while in Reincarnation Paradise.

“Just came out of a derivative world? You reek of blood.”

Xia sat across from Su Xiao, resting her chin on her hands.

Su Xiao frequented this place, so they were somewhat acquainted.

“Yeah. The derivative world collapsed, so I came out early.”

Su Xiao picked up a piece of bacon and chewed it. Xia’s cooking was excellent, but because the shop was in a remote location, there weren’t many customers. That was why Su Xiao often came here.

“Collapsed? How can a derivative world collapse? What did you do in there?”

Xia looked at Su Xiao in surprise.

“Sorry, sorry. I shouldn’t ask about what happens in derivative worlds.”

Xia apologized. Asking a contractor about their actions in a derivative world was a major taboo.

“I killed a lot of important characters. I’m surprised the derivative world collapsed too.”

Su Xiao brought a bowl of zhajiangmian to his face, while Xia began to talk about her experiences in a derivative world.

“Let me tell you, the ghouls in the Ghoul World are all monsters. If you go there, you can’t be careless. Last time I entered the Ghoul World, I almost got eaten by an A-class ghoul. Those guys are inhumanly strong.”

Xia looked relieved.

“Is that so? Thanks for the warning.”

Su Xiao thought to himself that he probably wouldn’t be able to enter the Ghoul World again. He had already killed his way through it.

After finishing the food on the table, Su Xiao lit a cigarette and signaled for the bill.

“That’ll be 16 Paradise Coins. Just give me 15. You’re a regular.”

Su Xiao transferred 20 Paradise Coins to Xia. Although she was a bit talkative, she was kind-hearted.

“This...”

Xia tried to refuse, but Su Xiao waved his hand from his chair.

Just then, the restaurant door opened, and a sharply dressed contractor walked in.

His steps were steady. He looked to be in his twenties, with a calm smile on his face.

“Hello, Mr. White Night. My name is Carl. I have something to discuss with you.”

Carl sat down across from Su Xiao, fiddling with a deck of tarot cards in his hand.

Carl was not weak. Su Xiao rarely felt pressured by contractors, but this Carl gave him the feeling that he was not to be trifled with.

“What is it?”

Su Xiao frowned. Not only did the other party know his alias, but he also knew his location.

“I’d like to invite you to join the ‘Phantom Troupe.’ Don’t refuse right away. The rules of the troupe are different from ordinary adventure groups.

The troupe has a maximum of thirteen members, and these thirteen don’t enter the same derivative world every time.

There are no superior-subordinate relationships in the troupe. There are only thirteen numbers. The lower the number, the stronger the member. You don’t have to listen to anyone’s orders because the troupe doesn’t even have a leader.

Even if you end up in a conflict with a fellow member, as long as you declare war before acting, no one will stop you. We’ll just watch the show.”

After hearing Carl’s introduction, Su Xiao raised an eyebrow. This Phantom Troupe felt familiar.

“That’s right. It’s similar to the Phantom Troupe from the Hunter World. That troupe was our inspiration. But compared to the Hunter World’s troupe, ours is much looser. Gathering a bunch of monsters together is a great idea.”

Carl smiled even more.

Su Xiao pondered for a moment, considering the truth of the other’s words.

“Why invite me to join?”

“Because your strength is sufficient. The troupe shares intelligence and also provides access to adventure group skills.

However... even though you single-handedly drove back the Red Spider Lily Adventure Group, that doesn’t mean you can join us directly. Come to the arena with me for a match to determine your ranking. After that, the troupe welcomes you.”

Carl fell silent, waiting for Su Xiao’s response.

“I’ll think it over. I’ll give you an answer within three days.”

PS: (Please vote for monthly tickets! The ones below are catching up.)

[Requesting votes and acting cute]

The reason the Titan World only had fifty chapters is that after delving deeper into the Titan World’s setting, I felt something was off. I could easily dig deeper—the Ghoul World is an example—but after weighing the options, I decided to end the Titan World normally, avoiding any fancy tricks to avoid getting burned. And this ending is a great twist, isn’t it? I haven’t had such a flash of inspiration in a long time.

Fifty chapters per arc in an infinite flow story doesn’t feel rushed, nor does it cause aesthetic fatigue. From now on, I’ll balance things out. After all, I’m not writing a comprehensive anime fanfic, so I won’t follow the original plot rigidly. I’m sure you’re all tired of the original storyline.

Finally, the purpose of this single chapter is to ask for votes! This month’s monthly ticket ranking looks promising for me.
