# Chapter 19: The Eve
In a dilapidated warehouse, Klik and Ah Jin were waiting anxiously.
"Creak~."
The warehouse door, which had not been opened for a long time, made a harsh sound.
Klik and Ah Jin both became alert. Both were pirates, men who lived by the blade.
Su Xiao stood at the warehouse entrance, not entering directly.
"Wait for me here."
After saying this, Su Xiao walked into the warehouse. Behind him, Hank's mouth opened and closed, but in the end, he made no sound and could only stand guard outside the warehouse.
Entering the warehouse, what came into view were some randomly stacked wooden crates. The floor was covered in dust, indicating that this warehouse had been abandoned for a long time.
"Too slow. Is this the attitude of the Goa Kingdom?"
Klik spoke first, his tone somewhat unfriendly.
Su Xiao let out a light laugh, sizing up Klik before him.
Tall stature, his face hidden beneath a hood. Although several meters away, Su Xiao could smell a strange odor.
It was the smell of some kind of potent poison. Su Xiao sometimes coated his blade with poison, so he was familiar with this scent.
"The matter will be left to you. After it's done, the kingdom will grant you noble status."
Su Xiao got straight to the point. He didn't want to waste words with these pirates.
"That's it? Weren't there supposed to be three factions competing..."
Klik's words were cut off mid-sentence by Su Xiao.
"No. Those other two factions are rabble. I have the decision-making power. You only need to answer yes or no."
Having his words cut off mid-sentence, Klik was clearly somewhat dissatisfied, but now that he was within the territory of Goa Kingdom's capital, this pirate didn't dare be too arrogant.
Su Xiao hadn't come to meet Klik alone. Near the warehouse, over a hundred guards were lying in ambush.
Klik hesitated, apparently not trusting Su Xiao, or rather, Klik didn't trust the Goa Kingdom.
"First, explain exactly what needs to be done."
The matter of burning down the Terminal was only known to those inside the capital; those outside the city were unaware.
Klik belonged to an outside rogue force, so he didn't know the specific situation. These fellows had been lured here by the promise of noble status.
"At six o'clock tomorrow evening, ignite the Terminal. The timing must be precise..."
Su Xiao began to explain the specific details. The more Klik and Ah Jin listened, the more serious their expressions became.
"Burn it all down? That's quite difficult. The Terminal covers a large area."
"Don't you know there's something called explosives?"
Su Xiao stared at Klik, ready at any moment to guard against the other party turning hostile. The negotiation had reached its most critical point.
"Are you kidding? That amount of explosives—unless you're willing to provide them, I choose to give up."
Klik's attitude was something Su Xiao had already anticipated.
"Is that so? What a pity."
After saying this, Su Xiao prepared to turn and leave, with no intention of bargaining with Klik.
"Wait."
Ah Jin called out to Su Xiao, then leaned close to Klik's ear and whispered:
"Boss, if we transport all the explosives from the ship here, the quantity should be enough."
Klik glared at Su Xiao with some anger. He naturally knew the explosives on the ship were sufficient, but he was somewhat reluctant to part with them.
"Do you really think that just by igniting the Terminal, you'll obtain noble status? The explosives should naturally be provided by you, otherwise, no deal."
Half an hour later, Su Xiao walked out of that warehouse, leaving behind Klik and Ah Jin, both with pained expressions.
As the promised benefit, Su Xiao left behind a certificate—the Goa Kingdom's noble conferment document.
As long as Klik signed the document and then had it notarized by the kingdom, Klik could become a noble.
Moreover, this document could not be unilaterally breached. It bore the seal of the World Government.
Pirates weren't easy to fool. If a real bait wasn't offered, they would never risk their lives.
"Lord White Night, has the matter been settled?"
Hank probed cautiously. Su Xiao's footsteps suddenly stopped.
"Are you sure you want to know?"
Su Xiao's icy gaze made Hank instinctively step back a few paces.
"I dare not."
At that moment, Hank deeply regretted not killing Su Xiao back when they were selecting weapons.
"Hank, there's something I need you to do. This matter is 'very important.'"
After saying this, Su Xiao signaled for the guards lying in ambush nearby to reveal themselves. Over a hundred guards assembled behind him, and he led them back to the Guard Headquarters.
-------------------
Night fell. Su Xiao sat alone in the office at the Guard Headquarters. The room was pitch black.
The sudden appearance of the Klik Pirates hadn't disrupted Su Xiao's plan; on the contrary, it made his plan go more smoothly.
His elbow resting on the desk, Su Xiao lightly pressed his forehead.
Although he was fairly clever, he knew that his current plan wasn't perfect. There might be unknown loopholes.
But this was unavoidable. He was too weak right now and could only rely on strategic arrangements to achieve his goals.
Given Su Xiao's style of conduct, he preferred to solve problems with the blade in his hand.
"Soon. As long as I leave this high-risk world."
Although the first world he experienced was a high-risk world like One Piece, he believed that Reincarnation Paradise wouldn't keep throwing him into worlds five levels above his own.
The reason he had entered the One Piece world might be a test from Reincarnation Paradise—a test regarding his identity as a Hunter.
Or rather, before completing the main mission, he wasn't truly a Hunter. He only had the title of Hunter, without the function.
Su Xiao slept in the office that night.
The next morning, Su Xiao woke up early and began preparing for tonight's operation.
This was the last day of the main mission's time limit. Tonight at midnight was his mission's maximum deadline.
Tonight, he would assassinate the King of the Goa Kingdom. Success or failure depended on this one move.
Throughout the entire day, Su Xiao was constantly busy. He was now the main person responsible for burning down the Terminal, so no matter which department he faced, they would make way for him.
That Left Minister was already completely finished. Su Xiao saw him once—those lifeless eyes sent a chill down his spine.
He kept busy until four in the afternoon, after which Su Xiao finished everything. Then he entered the office at the Guard Headquarters and disappeared from everyone's sight.
Now he only needed to wait—wait for the pirates outside the city to ignite the Terminal.
As for the Goa Kingdom's purpose in burning down the Terminal, it was laughable.
In just over ten days, it would be the day when the World Nobles, the Celestial Dragons, came to inspect. To prevent the Celestial Dragons from seeing the massive garbage mountains outside the city, the Goa Kingdom had chosen to burn down the Terminal, along with the refugees outside the city.
And the refugees outside the city numbered at least several thousand.
Such were the rulers of the One Piece world. To prevent the upper class from seeing stains, they could burn thousands of people to death.
At five in the evening, the sky gradually darkened. The night wind blew gently. There was still one hour until the time to burn down the Terminal. The city was unusually quiet.
In the pitch-black office, only Su Xiao sat behind the desk. A green treasure chest suddenly appeared in his hand.
This chest had been obtained after killing the master of Colbo Mountain. He had just been too busy lately and hadn't had time to open it.
The green chest filled Su Xiao with anticipation. A smile appeared on his tired face.
[Treasure Chest (Green): Yes/No to Open]
Choosing to open, several items appeared in Su Xiao's hand.
[You have opened the Treasure Chest (Green) and obtained the following items:]
[Obtained 1000 Paradise Coins]
[Obtained Soul Crystal (Small)]
[Obtained Tiger Claw]
...
No equipment was obtained, but this was expected.
Su Xiao had already opened several treasure chests and had some understanding of the rules.
The level of items obtained from opening a chest was related to the chest's color. The qualities he knew of so far were only White, Green, and Blue.
As for the equipment or items obtained from a chest, they were related to the person or animal that dropped the chest.
For example, if Su Xiao killed a tiger, the chest dropped by the tiger would never yield a sword or a shield.
Killing a tiger would most likely result in obtaining the tiger's claws or tiger skin. The same applied to killing humans.
Killing a black market merchant, Su Xiao obtained the merchant's letter of introduction.
And killing Oka, Su Xiao obtained the pendant Oka wore.
...
Su Xiao examined the items in his hand.
The Paradise Coins were directly deposited into his brand. Although called Paradise Coins, they were a formless currency.

...
Fingering the [Soul Crystal] in his hand, Su Xiao was completely in the dark about the two newly obtained items.
But he had a feeling that this translucent, thumbnail-sized [Soul Crystal] might be the most valuable item he had ever obtained.
Everything would become clear once he returned to Reincarnation Paradise. For now, his priority was to complete the mission.
Time had unknowingly reached six in the evening.
Su Xiao left the office and disappeared into the night. Either he would complete the mission tonight, or he would die within the royal palace. There was no third option.
