Chapter 1007: Teach Them a Lesson

"I'm very uncomfortable!" Qiu Yuexin shot Lin Feng a glare.

Lin Feng chuckled nervously. Over these three days, using the Heavenly Jade Stone, a rare treasure, he had sensed the rolling momentum of heaven and earth, merging himself into the natural world. He grew more and more relaxed, until finally, he felt as if he were a part of it all, naturally at ease. This momentum condensed into a true essence storm, pouring directly into his body like a baptism. Clearly, these three days of enlightenment had elevated his cultivation by half a step.

"Let's head back. The time for Stone Emperor and Yu Emperor to recruit their first batch of Martial Emperor's Disciples should be close, right?" Lin Feng said with a light smile.

"Seven more days remain!" Qiu Yuexin replied.

"Seven days!" Lin Feng nodded. Then, with a flicker of their figures, the two stepped down the Heavenly Stairs. Ascending was difficult, but descending felt effortless for them. Especially after spending three full days under the Nine Heavens, they had both grown accustomed to the terrifying pressure.

Only seven days were left until the deadline for Stone Emperor and Yu Emperor's first recruitment of Martial Emperor's Disciples. Below the Heavenly Terrace, even more powerful cultivators had gathered, their numbers stretching beyond the horizon. Only now did Lin Feng truly grasp the meaning of a sea of people. The allure of becoming a Martial Emperor's Disciple under Stone Emperor and Yu Emperor was immense, shaking the Eight Wastelands and even spreading to the other side of the Wasteland Sea.

Gazing at the boundless crowd, Lin Feng wondered how Youyou and Moxi were doing, and whether they had arrived here.

When he had leaped into the Wasteland Sea, he had agreed with them that if they were safe, they would meet here. If Youyou and the others had left Dragon Island, they would surely rush here. If they hadn't come, it could only mean they were trapped on Dragon Island.

The two didn't linger in the crowd. Instead, they flickered toward the courtyard where they were staying, quickly returning to their lodgings.

However, when they reached the outside of the courtyard, they both stopped in unison and exchanged a glance.

Someone was there. Inside the courtyard, many people were present, seemingly waiting for their return.

"People from the Qiu Clan?" Lin Feng asked Qiu Yuexin.

"En!" Qiu Yuexin nodded. Then, the courtyard gate opened, and a group of figures walked out.

Among the crowd were Qiu Mei and Qiu Yuexin's cousin from the same clan. But the one leading them was a dignified middle-aged man. As he stepped out, his gaze fell directly on Qiu Yuexin.

"What, don't you recognize me?" the middle-aged man said coldly.

"How could I dare not recognize Third Uncle!" Qiu Yuexin's voice was icy. This middle-aged man was indeed her Third Uncle.

"Seeing your Third Uncle and not even greeting me—Yuexin, you've grown quite impressive!" the middle-aged man said, his voice frigid. It seemed his relationship with Qiu Yuexin was far from good.

"I wouldn't dare," Qiu Yuexin replied, still indifferent.

"Wouldn't dare? You even dared to find a man at the Third Layer of Heavenly Martial Realm—what wouldn't you dare?" the middle-aged man sneered.

Qiu Yuexin's brow furrowed slightly, and her voice turned colder: "Third Uncle, you are an elder, so I won't argue with you. But some matters, especially my own, I will decide for myself. If I can't, my parents will. So, I ask that Third Uncle watch his words."

"Very well. Now you're even lecturing me. So, come with me," the middle-aged man said coldly.

"Sorry, I'm afraid I can't comply," Qiu Yuexin shook her head indifferently.

"Hmph!" The middle-aged man seemed to have expected her refusal. In the Qiu Clan, Qiu Yuexin's formidable talent meant not everyone could discipline her.

"It's not that I want you to come with me. Your grandfather wants to see you. Do you dare to disregard him as well?"

"Grandfather is here too?" Qiu Yuexin's expression stiffened, her face turning rather ugly.

"His precious granddaughter is about to run off with a man—how could he not come?" the middle-aged man taunted again.

"Third Uncle, if you keep speaking like this, and I say something disrespectful, don't blame me for not honoring my elder!" Qiu Yuexin's voice grew increasingly cold.

"Fine, your wings are truly hardened now." The middle-aged man's eyes flickered with a cold gleam. "I'll ask you once: your grandfather wants to see you. Are you coming with me or not?"

Qiu Yuexin's expression was grim. She turned her head to glance at Lin Feng beside her. Within the Qiu Clan, internal strife was fierce, and she had never been on good terms with this Third Uncle. If she went with him, she worried about Lin Feng.

But if her grandfather had come personally and she refused, it would only anger the old man further, making things worse. She was caught in a dilemma.

"If you're worried, bring him along. Let your grandfather see just how outstanding the young man you've chosen is," the middle-aged man sneered.

Qiu Yuexin certainly wouldn't take Lin Feng to meet her grandfather. Who knew what would happen then?

"Go ahead. I'll be fine," Lin Feng said to Qiu Yuexin with a smile.

"Little girl, just remember to come back. This bastard won't get into trouble," a voice came from behind Lin Feng. Then, Lin Feng and Qiu Yuexin saw Qiongqi wobbling over, leaving Lin Feng speechless. When the Qiu Clan had arrived at the courtyard, this old bastard had slipped away somewhere, only to pop out from behind now.

Qiu Yuexin was also speechless. This Qiongqi actually called her "little girl"…

"I promise that during your absence, the Qiu Clan won't touch him," Qiu Yuexin's Third Uncle stated.

"Where is Grandfather now? I'll go myself," Qiu Yuexin asked.

"By the Heavenly Realm Lake," the middle-aged man replied coldly. Qiu Yuexin nodded slightly to Lin Feng and said, "Be careful!"

With that, her figure flickered and disappeared.

After Qiu Yuexin left, the middle-aged man swept his gaze over Lin Feng and chuckled softly, "A man like this—why would the Qiu Clan need to act?"

Then, he led the Qiu Clan members in the direction Qiu Yuexin had gone. As they left, Lin Feng clearly saw Qiu Mei flash him a cold, sinister smile, as if in her eyes, Lin Feng was already a dead man.

"Sigh!" Qiongqi slowly stepped forward, seeming to sigh. He said gloomily, "Kid, others really think any random cat or dog can kill you. This time, at least teach them a lesson!"

As Qiongqi's words fell, many figures could be seen walking slowly from a distance. In just a few moments, they surrounded Lin Feng, trapping him.

"Qiu Junluo, you're quite persistent," Lin Feng said, his gaze landing on one of them—it was indeed Qiu Junluo. The man's face was cold, and killing intent flickered around him. Clearly, he was still nursing a grudge over being humiliated by Lin Feng last time.

"This time, let's see if you still have a life to keep," Qiu Junluo said icily. The cultivators around him were all at the same level as him—the Fifth Layer of Heavenly Martial Realm. Each had an extraordinary aura, and when they released their energy, their blood qi surged outward, showing they were no ordinary people. Like Qiu Junluo, they were disciples of major families.

"And who are you all? I don't seem to know any of you," Lin Feng said, sweeping his gaze over the unfamiliar faces. In the Eight Wastelands, he knew very few people.

But the problem was, even though he didn't know them, they wanted to kill him.

"Let me tell you, so you can die with clarity. You've offended Yang Zilan and Yang Ziye, and now you've offended the Qiu Clan. There are plenty who want you dead!" Qiu Junluo said coldly.

"I understand!"

Lin Feng smiled faintly. Having offended Yang Zilan and Yang Ziye, those who wanted to curry favor with the Yang Clan would want him dead, as would those who had feelings for Yang Ziye. As for the Qiu Clan, similarly, those seeking to ingratiate themselves with the Qiu Clan or who admired Qiu Yuexin would also want his life. And such people were clearly not few.

"Last time, you fought me with a sharp sword. Without that sword, you'd already be dead. Now, I'll give you another chance. If you don't use your sword, killing you is enough for me alone. If you do use your sword, we'll join forces and kill you," Qiu Junluo said coldly, still trying to reclaim his past shame by fighting Lin Feng one-on-one. But he also understood that if Lin Feng used his sword again, he still wouldn't be a match.

"You're right. It's time to teach them a lesson!"

Lin Feng glanced at Qiongqi beside him, then suddenly stepped into the void. A gale swept past, and his body moved with lightning speed, leaving only a faint afterimage in an instant.

"If you want my life, come at me together!" A voice rolled through the air. Qiu Junluo and the others narrowed their eyes, then their bodies surged forward, chasing after Lin Feng!
