Chapter 624: Sword Dao Will Power

Lin Feng's words caused the three men's steps to halt, their cold gazes fixed on Lin Feng.

"Sir, we stumbled in here unintentionally. Please forgive the intrusion," one of them said to Lin Feng. A sword curtain enveloped Lin Feng's entire body, making his strength difficult to gauge. Although all three were at the Fifth Layer of the Mysterious Martial Realm, they were likely no match for Lin Feng, so he adopted a rather humble posture.

"Unintentional?"

A cold smile curled at the corner of Lin Feng's mouth. If they hadn't tested his sword curtain first, they probably would have attacked him directly. Could that really be called unintentional?

As if sensing Lin Feng's coldness, the three men's expressions gradually turned icy.

"Sir, some matters are better left vague. It's better for everyone," the man spoke again, clearly trying to make Lin Feng forget what had just happened and play dumb.

"I'm perfectly clear-headed right now," Lin Feng replied coldly.

"Hmph, why waste words with him? Our Heavenly Fiend Sect has already occupied this entire mountain range. Anyone who dares offend us will die. If he doesn't know what's good for him, we'll devour his flesh and blood," another man threatened icily, trying to intimidate Lin Feng.

"Heavenly Fiend Sect!" So it was those inhuman, ghost-like creatures. Back in Tianluo Ancient City, Lin Feng had already witnessed the evil of the Heavenly Fiend Sect. He wondered how Mo Canglan was doing after leaving.

The Heavenly Fiend Sect had cultivators at the Heavenly Martial Realm. Back then, Duan Wuya had sealed the soul of a Heavenly Martial Realm expert in Tianluo Ancient City. This man's cold threat was clearly an attempt to scare Lin Feng off with the sect's reputation.

"Indeed, the Heavenly Fiend Sect," the man repeated, as if hoping to see fear in Lin Feng's eyes.

Lin Feng slowly rose to his feet. Sword qi howled around him, filled with boundless sharpness.

"I've encountered the Heavenly Fiend Sect before. Killing a few more won't make a difference," he said.

As his words fell, a terrifying sword qi sealed off the cave. Countless sword beams instantly filled the space, causing the three men's pupils to contract sharply. Their expressions changed drastically.

The entire space was covered in sword beams, like ten thousand arrows shooting at once.

"You dare!" the three shouted. A chilling, sinister aura rolled out from their bodies as they struck out at their surroundings.

"Swish, swish..."

The sword beams charged forward without hesitation, unstoppable. The three men's faces twisted in terror and shock.

"Boom!"

Their bodies trembled violently, then stiffened. Endless sword beams pierced through them, leaving thousands of holes until they were torn into countless fragments. The three men vanished completely from the cave.

Lin Feng reached out and took a deep breath. The sword qi in the cave dissipated, but his eyes still blazed with vast, razor-sharp sword light.

"Sword Dao Will. The power of will," Lin Feng murmured, a smile spreading across his face. The memories of the desolate space had not given him powerful techniques or formidable sword arts, only the origin of the sword.

To feel the power of the sword's origin, to comprehend Sword Dao Will. In the past, he had unknowingly touched upon Sword Dao Will through his contemplation and understanding of the sword, attaining the first level of Sword Dao Will. Now, by observing that single sword strike across the vast land, his understanding of the sword seemed to deepen imperceptibly. Lin Feng had now reached the third level of Sword Dao Will. With a single thought, sword qi roared, and ten thousand sword beams could take a life.

Of course, his progress in Sword Dao Will was not solely due to observing the origin sword in his memories. During this time, though he had not used a sword and his true essence had been sealed, he had been observing nature, and his state of mind had broken through. When he was on the mountain with Xiao Wutian and Xiao Ya, injured and unable to move, he had sat by the cliff, observing the natural world, watching the sunrise and sunset. Although his cultivation was sealed and he couldn't see his realm improve, Lin Feng could actually feel his own progress. Now that his cultivation had recovered, it was all manifesting.

Lin Feng stepped out of the cave. The night was as dark as ink, quiet but not peaceful. He could clearly sense a sinister aura in the distance, and it seemed to be slowly approaching him.

He looked toward the source of the aura and saw several pitch-black, evil coffins flying through the void, heading in his direction.

"Heavenly Fiend Sect," Lin Feng said calmly, standing on the cliff wall. He simply gazed at the coffins speeding through the air.

Soon, the coffins arrived before Lin Feng, floating in the void, their sinister aura extremely dense.

"You dare kill a member of my Heavenly Fiend Sect?" a voice came from one of the coffins.

Figures slowly crawled out of the coffins. These Heavenly Fiend Sect members all exuded an evil aura, with pale faces and gaunt bodies. They practiced wicked techniques to rapidly increase their cultivation, taking shortcuts on the martial path. Naturally, this came with side effects, making them look neither human nor ghost, extremely unsightly.

"Your Heavenly Fiend Sect members tried to attack me, so I naturally killed them. Now, I have no time to play with you. If you try to attack me, don't blame me for what happens," Lin Feng said coldly.

With that, his figure flickered. Instead of fighting, he turned and left, stepping onto a sword beam and moving with incredible speed.

The Heavenly Fiend Sect members' eyes narrowed. They re-entered their coffins, which howled through the air as they chased after Lin Feng.

A whistling sword beam streaked across the sky above the Fallen Heaven Mountain Range. Moments later, it changed direction, diving downward and landing directly outside a cave.

Without any hesitation, Lin Feng stepped inside.

The cave was very deep. As he entered, bits of stone debris fell onto his head. The entrance was extremely irregular, as if it had just been dug open.

"Who's there?" someone shouted angrily. A figure inside the cave stared at Lin Feng with cold, unfriendly eyes.

Lin Feng looked back at him. The man's sallow face showed little expression. The newly excavated cave had a large interior space, looking quite ancient. Flickering lamps still burned, and a faint chill permeated the entire cave.

Moreover, there were two other people in the cave, chipping away at the walls as if trying to uncover something.

"Someone just like you," Lin Feng said flatly.

The man's face turned cold as he stared at Lin Feng. "This cave is ours. What business is it of yours? Leave now."

"You only dug it open recently. How can you say this cave is yours? How ridiculous. If fate allows us to find some relics in this cave, it should be a matter of luck," Lin Feng said, shaking his head.

The Fallen Heaven Mountain Range couldn't possibly be claimed by anyone. These people had only just discovered this place, breaking through the sealed barrier to find the cave.

Lin Feng's words made the men pause. They stopped searching and gathered together, staring at Lin Feng with hostile eyes.

This man wanted a share of the spoils? How could it be so easy?

"What a fine place. No wonder he ran so fast," a rumbling voice sounded. A sinister aura invaded the cave, making the large space even colder.

Then, a group of gaunt figures stepped into the cave. Their eyes swept around, evil grins spreading across their faces.

This cave dwelling looked very ancient, clearly with a long history. The more ancient the cave, the greater the chance of finding relics and treasures.

They had thought Lin Feng was trying to escape, but instead, he had led them to such a fine place.

"You..." The three men stared at Lin Feng, their expressions extremely ugly. They hadn't expected him to bring such a group of evil beings here. These people were from the Heavenly Fiend Sect, and each one had considerable cultivation. The three of them were no match. If they insisted on fighting, they would surely die.

"Since you say this place is yours, why don't you drive them away?" Lin Feng said, leaning against the cave wall. His sallow face showed a hint of cunning, as if he were an innocent bystander, arms crossed over his chest.

"You're ruthless. This cave dwelling is yours," the three men gritted their teeth. Their bodies slammed into one side of the wall, true essence roaring as they burrowed through the rock. Soon, they had dug another opening and vanished without a trace. Their digging skills were quite impressive.
