Lin Feng felt the cold gaze of the young woman. He had never believed that speaking required qualification.
But this young woman, who kept claiming others had no right to speak—what about her? She lashed out with her whip at will. Where did her qualification come from?
The young woman exerted force with her hand, pulling the soft whip out of Lin Feng's palm. Her wrist flicked, and the whip straightened, shooting toward Lin Feng's face like a venomous dragon.
"What a venomous woman. Even if she's pretty, she's still disgusting."
Lin Feng's voice was cold. He had no grudge against her, and they didn't even know each other. Yet, simply because Jingyun questioned her words, she wanted to whip Jingyun's face and make her pay the price.
And Lin Feng, of course, had to resist. So, the young woman attacked him without mercy, each strike vicious.
Was it only permissible for her to refute others, but not for others to oppose her? This was far too arrogant and unreasonable.
"You're asking for death."
The young woman shouted angrily. The long whip whistled through the air, extremely sharp.
"Only at the First Layer of Spirit Martial Realm, yet so arrogant."
Lin Feng sneered inwardly. He flipped his palm, and six palm prints surged forward violently. The Eight Wastelands Palm, even if not used at its peak, was more than enough to overpower her.
The terrifying palm force surged out. Six deep-colored palm prints were vast and powerful. The soft whip couldn't advance at all and instantly recoiled.
"Miss, be careful." The two guards behind the young woman stepped forward and struck out with their palms simultaneously. A fierce gust of wind raged, annihilating all six palm prints. The surrounding crowd quickly scattered far away.
"These people seem to have extraordinary backgrounds. They're young, but their strength has already reached the Spirit Martial Realm."
The crowd was slightly surprised to see that their strength had all reached the Spirit Martial Realm. Although in the outer city of the Imperial City, a few layers of Spirit Martial Realm weren't considered strong, these people were all young. The young woman's two guards were around twenty, while Lin Feng and the young woman were even younger, at most sixteen or seventeen. Their talent was evident.
"You dare to hurt me?" The young woman was pushed back by Lin Feng's palm wind, her face ugly as she stared coldly at Lin Feng.
Lin Feng snorted coldly, stood up, and took a step forward. Instantly, a suffocating aura spread through the tavern.
"You wanted my life, and I can't hurt you?"
Lin Feng found it somewhat ridiculous. Did these people inherently believe that only they could insult others freely, while others weren't allowed to touch them? Was he supposed to just let her bully him? Absolutely ridiculous.
The young woman's two guards looked at Lin Feng warily. This man made them feel a hint of threat.
"If you want to live, slap yourself and then crawl away."
The young woman's face was gloomy. Outside this Imperial City, when had she ever been humiliated by others?
"Nonsense."
Lin Feng sneered, took another step forward, and a fierce aura surged toward the young woman.
"You said I have no right to speak. Then let me ask you, what right does a useless waste like you have to bully others, constantly shouting about slapping faces?"
As his words fell, Lin Feng's palm flipped, and the Eight Wastelands Palm struck out violently. Seven palm prints, fierce and unstoppable.
"How dare you." The two guards' expressions changed. They raised their aura to its peak and struck out with both palms to block the incoming palm prints.
Rumbling gusts of wind raged. The crowd in the tavern turned their attention here, secretly marveling at the young man's domineering nature. The young woman insulted him, and he immediately retaliated, regardless of the consequences.
"Get lost."
Lin Feng roared, taking several steps forward. Instantly, palm prints covered the eight wastelands, sweeping everything before them.
"Boom! Boom!"
Two sounds rang out. The young woman's two guards flew backward and crashed heavily to the ground, shocking everyone. This young man, only about sixteen, was so domineering and powerful. Calling him a genius wouldn't be an exaggeration. It seemed that here in the Imperial City, hidden dragons and crouching tigers truly abounded. Even a single young man like this could be considered an expert elsewhere.
The young woman's gaze froze. She stared blankly as her guards were sent flying. Her face could no longer be described as gloomy.
"You..." She pointed at Lin Feng, but found that Lin Feng was now stepping toward her. The words she wanted to say were swallowed back.
"Answer me. You said I have no right to speak. Then what about you?"
Lin Feng's voice pressed toward the young woman, his gaze cold. He didn't like bullying others, but he couldn't tolerate being bullied either.
He knew that with a woman like this, so unreasonable and domineering, there was no point in talking. If he yielded, she would press further, bully him, and might even slap his face or Jingyun's. Could Lin Feng possibly allow that?
Since he couldn't, the only option was to fight back.
Lin Feng had never considered himself someone easy to bully. Since he had already resisted, he might as well go all the way.
"Do you know who I am?"
The young woman was intimidated by Lin Feng's aura and took a step back, inwardly regretting not bringing stronger guards with her.
Of course, she hadn't expected that outside the Imperial City, someone would dare to treat her like this. Lin Feng was an anomaly.
"Who you are has nothing to do with me." Lin Feng sneered: "Only wastes use their family background to bully others. You accuse others of having no right to speak and casually slap their faces, but you don't realize that if it were just you, a waste, how many people would slap your face."
"Slap my face? Ridiculous. That kind of person has never existed." The young woman said coldly.
"Is that so?" A cold smile curled at the corner of Lin Feng's mouth: "I'm honored to be the first."
"You dare touch me?" The young woman's face grew colder: "I swear, if you lay a finger on me, you'll die without a burial place."
"Some words shouldn't be spoken. If you say them, you have to pay the price. You forgot, that's what you just said." Lin Feng's expression remained cold as he took a step forward: "And some things shouldn't be done. If you do them, you have to bear the consequences. You wanted me to slap myself, so I'll slap your face."
"You dare?" The young woman said coldly.
"Why wouldn't I dare?" Lin Feng finally stepped in front of the young woman, raised his hand, and a cold wind howled.
"Stop."
Just then, a voice suddenly rang out.
Following the sound, the crowd saw a graceful figure slowly descending the stairs on the third floor. This figure was extremely beautiful, wearing a light blue gauze and holding an ancient zither. She carried an air of nobility and detachment, making her seem untouchable.
Seeing this woman, the crowd was startled. Qingxin, the owner of Qingxin Tavern, truly lived up to her reputation—indescribably beautiful.
Compared to the arrogant young woman, she exuded even more mature charm, captivating at first sight.
"It seems the show is over."
Many thought to themselves. Qingxin's charm was undeniable. Since she had appeared, it was clearly for the arrogant young woman. Although the crowd didn't like the young woman, her status was undeniable, and even Qingxin had shown up at this moment.
Lin Feng turned his gaze to Qingxin. This woman, around twenty, carried a special charm that was particularly alluring.
But Lin Feng's eyes didn't change much. Even though Qingxin was beautiful, compared to Mengqing, she still fell short. Having spent so much time with Mengqing, Lin Feng's immunity to women had naturally increased.
"Something?" Lin Feng asked calmly, his expression flat.
Qingxin was slightly surprised by the indifference in Lin Feng's eyes. It was rare to see someone so calm in her presence.
"You can't touch her."
Qingxin's tone was gentle, but within that gentleness, Lin Feng sensed a hint of authority, as if once she spoke, Lin Feng should agree.
"Ordering me?" Lin Feng frowned, his voice still calm and flat.
Hearing Lin Feng's words, Qingxin was stunned again. Then she smiled and shook her head: "It's not an order."
"Consider it doing me a favor. Let this matter rest, how about it?"
"Thank you." A faint, indifferent smile appeared on Lin Feng's lips. Then he asked: "Do we know each other?"
"Hmm?" Qingxin looked at Lin Feng, her smile still full of gentle charm: "We didn't before, but..."
"Then we don't know each other." Lin Feng interrupted Qingxin: "Since we don't know each other, why should I do you a favor?"
Lin Feng's words stunned everyone. This guy... so arrogant, saying such things to Qingxin, and she was such a beauty.
Lin Feng naturally didn't know what the crowd was thinking. He continued: "When she was whipping my friend with her whip, you didn't show up, right?"
"When she was slapping others and wanted to slap me, you were nowhere to be found either, right?" Lin Feng pressed on, leaving Qingxin speechless.
"Since you didn't appear when she was high and mighty, humiliating us and wanting to slap our faces, then now, why are you showing up?"
Lin Feng's words echoed through the tavern. The crowd was silent, pondering his words. Earlier, they thought that since Qingxin had stepped in, Lin Feng should back down. But now, they didn't think so, because their hearts couldn't refute Lin Feng's words.
Since you didn't show up earlier, then now, why are you showing up?
What a resounding slap. This time, it was an invisible one on Qingxin's face. Qingxin's actions were undoubtedly disrespectful to Lin Feng, a form of humiliation toward him.
"People still need a bit of dignity to live."
Seeing the crowd's silence, a brilliant smile appeared on Lin Feng's face. And his hand slowly swung down.
The sound of the slap was crisp and clear!
